THE GOSPEL OF THE NAZARENES
Chapter 47
The Spirit Gives Life
The Rich Man and the Beggar
1. When they came down from the Mount one of His disciples asked Him: Master, if a man does not keep all these commandments, will he enter into Life? He said: The Law is good in the letter, but is dead without the spirit. The spirit makes the letter alive.
2. Take heed that you obey from the heart, and in the spirit of love, all the Commandments I give to you.
3. It was written: You will not kill. But I say to you, If any hate and desire to kill, they are guilty of the law. Yea, if they cause hurt or torture to any Innocent Creature they are guilty; except if they kill to put an end to suffering which cannot be healed, they are not guilty if they do it quickly, in love.
4. It was said: You will not steal. But I say to you, If any, not content with what they have, desire and seek after what is another's, or if they withhold what is just from the worker, they have stolen in their heart already, and their guilt is greater than that of one who steals a loaf in necessity to satisfy his hunger.
5. Again you were told, You will not commit adultery. But I say to you, If man or woman join together in marriage with unhealthy bodies, and beget unhealthy offspring, they are guilty, even though they did not take their neighbor's spouse. If any do not take a woman who belongs to another, but desire in their heart, and seek after her, they committed adultery already in spirit.
6. Again I say to you, If any desire and seek to possess the body of any creature for food, or for pleasure, or for profit, they defile themselves.
7. Yea, if a man tells the truth to his neighbor in such a way as to lead him into evil, even though it is true in the letter, he is guilty.
8. Walk in the spirit, thus you fulfill the law, and are suitable for the kingdom. Let the Law be within your own hearts, rather than on tablets of memorial. Which things you ought to do anyway, and not leave the other undone. The Law I give to you is sacred, just, and good. Blessed are all those who obey, and walk in them.
9. Yahwah is Spirit. Those who worship Yahwah must worship in spirit and in truth, at all times, and in all places.
10. He spoke this parable to those who were rich, saying: There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day.
11. There was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table (moreover the dogs came and licked his sores).
12. It came to pass, the beggar died, and was carried by the malaks into Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died, and was buried with great pomp. In Hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
13. He cried and said: Father Abraham, have mercy on me. Send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this place.
14. Abraham said: Son, remember that you received your good things in your lifetime, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted, and you are tormented. Thus are the changes of life for the perfecting of souls. And beside all this, there is a great gulf fixed between us and you, so those who would pass from here to you cannot. Nor can those who would come from there pass to us, till their time is accomplished.
15. He said: I pray, father, that you would send him to my father's house. I have five brothers, he may testify to them, unless they also come into this place of torment.
16. Abraham said to him: They have Moshe [Moses] and the prophets, let them hear them. And he said: No, father Abraham, if one went to them from the dead, they will repent.
17. Abraham said to him: If they do not hear Moshe and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if one rose from the dead.
Chapter 48
Yahushua Feeds One Thousand with Five Melons
Heals the Withered Hand On The Sabbath Day
1. It came to pass as Yahushua [wrongly called: Jesus] was teaching the multitudes, they were hungry and faint by reason of the heat of the day. There passed by that way a woman on a camel loaded with melons and other fruits.
2. Yahushua lifted up His voice, and cried: O you who thirst, seek the living water which comes from Heaven, for this is the water of life, whoever drinks does not thirst again.
3. He took five melons of the fruit, and divided them among the people. They ate, their thirst was quenched, and He said to them: If Yahwah makes the sun to shine, and the water to fill out these fruits of the earth, will the same not be the Sun of your souls, and fill you with the water of life?
4. Seek the truth, let your souls be satisfied. The truth of Yahwah is that water which comes from heaven, without money and without price, and those who drink will be satisfied. Those whom He fed were one thousand men, women, and children. None of them went home hungry or thirsty, and many who had fever were healed.
5. At that time Yahushua went on the Sabbath day through the cornfields. His disciples were hungry, so began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.
6. When the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him: Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day.
7. He said to them: Did you not read what David did, when he and those who were with him were hungry? He entered into the house of Yahwah and ate the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests?
8. Or have you not read in the law, how on the Sabbath days the priests in the Temple do work on the Sabbath, and are blameless? I say to you: In this place is One greater than the Temple.
9. If you knew what this means: I will have mercy and not sacrifice; you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Master even of the Sabbath.
10. When He departed there, He went into their synagogue. Behold, there was a man who had his hand withered. They asked Him, saying: Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath day? That so they might accuse Him.
11. He said to them: What man is there among you who will have but one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? If you give help to a sheep, will you not also to a man who needs it?
12. It is lawful to do well on the Sabbath day. He said to the man: Stretch forth your hand. He stretched it forth, and it was restored whole, like as the other.
13. The Pharisees went out and held a council against Him, how they might destroy Him. When Yahushua knew it, He withdrew Himself from there. Great multitudes followed Him. He healed their sick and infirm, and charged those that they should not make it known.
14. So it was fulfilled which was spoken by Yeshayah the prophet, saying: Behold my servant, whom I chose. My beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon Him, and He will show judgment to the Gentiles.
15. He will not strive nor cry, nor will any man hear His voice in the streets. He will not break a bruised reed, and He will not quench smoking flax, till He brings forth judgment to victory [Isaiah 42:1-4]. The Gentiles will trust in His Name.
Chapter 49
The True Temple of Yahwah
1. The Feast of the Passover was at hand. It came to pass that some of the disciples, being masons, were assigned to repair one of the chambers of the Temple. Yahushua was passing by, and they said to Him: Master, Do you see these great buildings, what manner of stones are here, and how beautiful the work of our ancestors is?
2. Yahushua said: Yea, it is beautiful, and the stones are well wrought, but the time comes when not one stone will be left on another, for the enemy will overthrow both the city and the Temple.
3. The true Temple is the body of man in which Yahwah dwells by the Spirit. When this Temple is destroyed, Yahwah raises up a more glorious temple in three days, which the eye of the natural man does not perceive.
4. Do you not know you are the temples of Yahwah's Spirit? Whoever destroys one of these temples, the same will be destroyed himself.
5. Hearing Him, some of the scribes thought to entangle Him in His talk, and said: If you would put away the sacrifices of sheep, oxen, and birds, to what purpose was this Temple built for Yahwah by Solomon, which is now forty and six years in restoring?
6. Yahushua answered, and said: It is written in the prophets: My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, for the sacrifice of praise, and thanksgiving. But you have made it a house of slaughter, and filled it with abominations.
7. Again it is written: From the rising of the sun, to the setting of the same, my Name will be great among the Gentiles, and incense with a pure offering will be offered to me. But you made it a desolation with your offerings of blood, and used the sweet incense only to cover its ill savor. I am not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it.
8. Do you not know what is written? Obedience is better than sacrifice, to hearken better than the fat of rams. I, Yahwah, am weary of your burnt offerings, and vain oblations. Your hands are full of blood.
9. Is it not written: What is the true sacrifice? Wash you, and make you clean, put away the evil from before my eyes, cease to do evil, learn to do well. Do justice for the fatherless, the widow, and all who are oppressed. So doing you will fulfill the law.
10. The day comes when all that which is in the outer court, which pertains to blood offerings, will be taken away. Pure worshippers will worship the Eternal in purity, and in truth.
11. They said: Who are you who seeks to do away with the sacrifices, and despises the seed of Abraham? Have you learned this blasphemy from the Greeks and the Egyptians?
12. Yahushua said: Before Abraham was, I AM. They refused to listen, and some said: He is inspired by a demon. Others said: He is mad. They went their way, and told these things to the priests and elders. They were wroth, saying: He has spoken blasphemy.
Chapter 50
Messiah the Light of the World
1. Yahushua spoke to them again, saying: I am the Light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
2. The Pharisees said to Him: You bear record of yourself, your record is not true.
3. Yahushua answered, and said to them: Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true. I know where I came, and where I go. You cannot tell where I come, and where I go.
4. You judge after the flesh. I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, I come from the Father-Mother [Love and Wisdom] who sent me.
5. It is also written in your law: The testimony of two men is true. I am one who bear witness of myself, Yahchanan the prophet bore witness of me, and the Spirit of truth who sent me bears witness of me.
6. They said to Him: Where is your Father and your Mother? Yahushua answered: You do not know me, nor my Parent. If you had known me, you would have known my Father and my Mother also.
7. One said: Show us the Father, show us the Mother, and we will believe you. He answered, saying: If you see your brother, and feel his love, you see the Father. If you see your sister, and feel her love, you see the Mother.
8. Far and near, the All Sacred knows their own. Yea, the Fatherhood and the Motherhood may be seen in each of you, for the Father and the Mother are One in Yahwah.
9. Yahushua spoke these words in the treasury, as He taught in the temple. No man laid hands on Him, for His hour was not yet come. Yahushua said to them: I go my way. You will seek me, and will die in your sins. Where I go, you cannot come.
10. The Yahudim [Jews] said: Will He kill Himself? Because He said: Where I go, you cannot come. He said to them: You are from beneath, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world.
11. I said to you, You will die in your sins. If you do not believe that I am of Yahwah, you will die in your sins.
12. They said to Him: Who are you? Yahushua said to them: Even the same that I said to you from the beginning.
13. I have many things to say which will judge you. The sacred One who sent me is true, and I speak to the world those things I heard from above.
14. Yahushua said to them: When you lift up the Son of man, then you will know that I am sent of Yahwah, and that I do nothing of myself. I speak these things as the All Sacred taught me. Who sent me is with me, the All Sacred does not leave me alone, for I always do those things that please the Eternal.
15. As He spoke these words, many believed on Him, for they said: He is a Prophet sent from Yahwah. Let us hear Him.
Chapter 51
The Truth Makes Free
1. Yahushua said to those Yahudim who believed on Him: If you continue in my word, then you are my disciples indeed. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.
2. They answered Him: We are Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man. How do you say: You will be made free? Yahushua answered them: Verily, verily, I say to you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin. The servant does not abide in the house forever, but the Son (even the Daughter) abides ever.
3. If the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. I know you are Abraham's seed after the flesh, but you seek to kill me, because my word has no place in you.
4. I speak that which I saw with my Parent, you do that which you saw with your parent. They answered, and said to Him: Abraham is our father. Yahushua said to them: If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.
5. But now you seek to kill me, a man who told you the truth, which I heard of Yahwah. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father. They said to Him: We are not born of fornication. We have one El [God], even Adonai [my Lord].
6. Yahushua said to them: If Yahwah were your Parent, you would love me, for I proceeded forth and came from Yahwah. I did not come of myself, the All-Sacred sent me. Why do you not understand my speech? Even because you cannot hear my word.
7. You are of your father the devil, and you will do the lusts of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and did not abide in the truth, because there is no truth in him.
8. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own. He is a liar, and the father of it. So because I tell you the truth, you do not believe me.
9. As Moshe lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son and Daughter of man be lifted up, that whosoever gazes believing should not perish, but have everlasting life.
10. Which of you convicts me of sin? If I say the truth, why do you not believe me? He who is of Yahwah hears Yahwah's words, you do not hear them because you are not of Yahwah.
11. The Yahudim answered, and said to Him: Do we not say well that you are a Samaritan, and have a demon? Yahushua answered: I do not have a demon. I honor the All-Sacred, and you dishonor me. I do not seek my own glory, but the glory of Yahwah. But there is One who judges.
12. Certain of the Elders and Scribes from the Temple came to Him, saying: Why do your disciples teach men it is unlawful to eat the flesh of beasts, though they be offered in sacrifice as ordained by Moshe?
13. It is written: Yahwah said to Noah: The fear and the dread of you will be upon every beast of the field, every bird of the air, and every fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.
14. Yahushua said to them: You hypocrites, well did Yeshayah speak of you, and your forefathers, saying: This people draws near to Me with their mouths, and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. In vain do they worship Me, teaching and believing. They teach the commandments of men for divine doctrines, in my name, but to satisfy their own lusts.
15. Yermeyah [Jeremiah] bore witness when he said: Concerning blood offerings and sacrifices: I, Yahwah, commanded none of these things in the day you came out of Egypt. I only commanded you to do righteousness, walk in the ancient paths, do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with Yahwah.
16. But you did not hearken to Me, who in the beginning gave you all manner of seed, fruit of the trees, and seed for the food and healing of man and beast. So they said: You speak against the law.
17. He said: I do not speak against Moshe, nor against the law, but against those who corrupted his law, which he permitted for the hardness of your hearts.
18. Behold, a greater than Moshe is here! They were wroth, and took up stones to cast at Him. Yahushua passed through their midst, and was hidden from their violence.
Chapter 52
He Declares His Pre-Existence
1. Another time Yahushua said: Verily, verily, I say to you, If a man keep my saying: he will never see death. The Yahudim said to him: Now we know you have a demon.
2. Abraham is dead, and the prophets. Yet you say: If a man keep my saying he will never taste of death. Are you greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? Also the Prophets are dead, whom do you make yourself?
3. Yahushua answered: If I honor myself, my honor is nothing. It is my Father who honors me, of whom you say He is your God. You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I should say I do not know Him I will be a liar like to you. I know the All Sacred, I am known of the Eternal.
4. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day, he saw it, and was glad. The Yahudim said to him: You are not yet forty five years old, and you saw Abraham?
5. Yahushua said to them: Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham was, I AM.
6. He said to them: The All Sacred sent you many prophets, but you rose against those who were contrary to your lusts, reviling some and killing others.
7. They took up stones to cast at Him, but Yahushua was hidden, went out of the temple through the midst of them, and so again passed by them unseen.
8. When His disciples were with Him in a place apart, one of them asked Him concerning the kingdom, and He said to them:
9. As it is above, so it is below. As it is within, so it is without. As on the right hand, so on the left. As it is before, so it is behind. As with the great, so with the small. As with the male, so with the female. When these things are seen, then you will see the kingdom of Yahwah.
10. In me there is neither Male nor Female, both are One in the All perfect. The woman is not without the man, nor is the man without the woman.
11. Wisdom is not without Love, nor is Love without Wisdom. The head is not without the heart, nor is the heart without the head, in the Messiah who atones all things. Yahwah made all things by number, by weight, and by measure, corresponding the one with the other.
12. These things are for those who understand, to believe. If they do not understand, they are not for them. To believe is to understand, and to not believe is to not understand.
Chapter 53
Yahushua Heals The Blind On The Sabbath
1. As Yahushua passed by at another time, He saw a man who was blind from his birth. His disciples asked Him, saying: Master, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?
2. Yahushua answered: To what purpose is it, whether this man sinned, or his parents, as long as the works of Yahwah are made manifest in him? I must work the works of my Parent who sent me, while it is day. The night comes, when no man can work [two millenia of Roman iron domination]. As long as I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.
3. When He had spoken, He spat on the ground, mingled clay with the spittle, and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. He said to him: Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (this means by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way, washed, and came seeing.
4. The neighbors, and those who saw him before, that he was blind, said: Is this not he who sat and begged? Some said: This is he. Others said: He is like him. But he said: I am he.
5. Therefore they said to him: How were your eyes opened? He answered and said: A man who is called Yahushua made clay, anointed my eyes, and said to me: Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash. I went, washed, and I received sight.
6. They said to him: Where is He? He said: I do not know where He who made me whole is.
7. Certain of the Sadducces (who deny there is a resurrection) came to Him, and they asked Him, saying: Master, Moshe wrote to us; If any man's brother die, having a wife and leaving no children, his brother should take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.
8. Now there were six brothers, the first took a wife, and he died childless. The second took her to wife, and he died childless. And the third, even to the sixth, and they also died leaving no children. Last of all the woman died.
9. In the resurrection, whose of them is she, for the six had her to wife.
10. Yahushua answered them, saying: Whether a woman with six husbands, or a man with six wives, the case is the same. The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage.
11. Those who are worthy to attain the resurrection from the dead neither marry, nor are given in marriage, nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the gods, and are the children of Yahwah, being the children of the resurrection.
12. That the dead are raised even Moshe showed at the bush, when he called Yahwah the Father of Abraham, Isaac, and Yaacob. He is not the Father of the dead, but of the living, for all live to Him.
Chapter 54
The Examination of Him Who was Born Blind
1. They brought to the Pharisees him who was blind before. It was the Sabbath day when Yahushua made the clay, and opened his eyes.
2. The Pharisees asked him how he received his sight. He said to them: He put clay upon my eyes, I washed, and do see.
3. Therefore some of the Pharisees said: This man is not of Yahwah, because He does not keep the Sabbath day. Others said: How can a man who is a sinner do such miracles? So there was a division among them.
4. They say to the blind man again: What do you say of Him who opened your eyes? He said: He is a prophet.
5. The Yahudim did not believe concerning him, that he was blind, and received his sight, until they called the parents of him who received his sight.
6. They asked them, saying: Is this your son, who you say was born blind? How then does he see now? His parents answered them, and said: We know this is our son, and he was born blind. By what means he now sees we do not know, nor who opened his eyes. He is of age, ask him, he will speak for himself.
7. His parents spoke these words because they feared the Yahudim, for the Yahudim already agreed if any man confessed He was the Messiah [anointed of Yahwah], he should be put out of the synagogue. Therefore his parents said: He is of age. Ask him.
8. They called again the man who was blind, and said to him: Give God the praise, we know this man is a sinner. He answered, and said: Whether he is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know, although I was blind, now I see.
9. They said to him again: What did He do to you? How did He open your eyes? He answered them: I told you already, and you did not hear, why would you hear it again? Will you also be His disciples?
10. They reviled him, and said: You are His disciple, but we are Moshe's disciples. We know Yahwah spoke to Moshe, as for this fellow, we do not know where He is from.
11. The man answered, and said to them: Why here is a marvellous thing, that you do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes. We know Yahwah does not hear sinners.
12. If any man is a worshipper of Yahwah, and does His will, him He hears. Since the world began it was not heard that any man opened the eyes of one who was born blind. If this man were not of Yahwah, He could do nothing.
13. They answered, and said to him: You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us? So they cast him out.
14. Yahushua heard they cast him out. When He had found him, He said to him: Do you believe on the Son of Yahwah? He answered, and said: Who is He, Master, that I might believe on Him.
15. Yahushua said to him: You see Him, it is He who talks with you. He said: Master, I believe. And he worshipped Him.
16. Yahushua said: I am come into this world for judgment, that those who do not see might see, and those who see might be made blind. Some of the Pharisees which were with Him heard these words, and said to Him: Are we blind also?
17. He came to a certain place where seven palm trees grew. Yahushua gathered His disciples around Him, and to each He gave a number and a name which he only knew who received it. He said to them: Stand as pillars in the House of Yahwah, show forth the order according to your numbers which you received.
18. They stood around Him, they made a body four square, they counted the number, and could not. They said to Him: Master, we cannot. Yahushua said: Let him who is greatest among you be even as the least, and the symbol of that which is first be as the symbol of that which is last.
19. They did so, and in every way there was equality, and yet each bore a different number. The one side was as the other, the upper was as the lower, and the inner as the outer. Yahushua said: It is enough. Such is the House of the wise Master Builder. Foursquare it is, and perfect. Many are the Chambers, but the House is One.
20. Consider the Body of man, which is a Temple of the Spirit. The body is one, united to its head, which with it is one body. It has many members, yet, all are one body. The one Spirit rules and works in all, so also in the kingdom.
21. The head does not say to the bosom: I have no need of you. Nor the right hand to the left, I have no need of you. Nor the left foot to the right, I have no need of you. Nor the eyes to the ears, we have no need of you. Nor the mouth to the nose, I have no need for you. Yahwah set in the one body every member as is fitting.
22. If the whole were the head, where were the breasts? If the whole were the belly, where were the feet? Yea, those members which some affirm are less honorable, upon them Yahwah bestowed the more honor.
23. Those parts which some call uncomely, upon them was bestowed more abundant comeliness, that they may care one for the other. If one member suffers, all members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all members rejoice.
24. You are my Body. Each one of you is a member in particular, and to each one of you I give the fitting place. One Head over all, and one Heart the center of all, that there is no lack nor schism. So with your bodies, your souls, and your spirits, glorify the All Parent through the Divine Spirit who works in all, and through all.
Chapter 55
Messiah The Good Shepherd
One With the Father
1. At that time a shepherd passed by the way, leading his flock to the fold. Yahushua took up one of the young lambs in his arms, talked to it lovingly, and pressed it to his bosom. He spoke to His disciples, saying:
2. I am the good shepherd, I know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Parent of all knows me, even so I know my sheep, and lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, who are not of this fold. I must bring them also, they will hear my voice. There will be one flock, and one shepherd.
3. I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No man takes it from me. I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay my body down, and I have power to take it up again.
4. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd feeds His flock. He gathers His lambs in His arms, carries them in His bosom, and gently leads those that are with young. Yea, the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
5. He who is a hireling, not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep and flees. The wolf catches them, and scatters the sheep. The hireling flees because he is a hireling, and does not care for the sheep.
6. I am the door. All who enter by me will be safe, will go in and out, and find pasture. The evil one does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy. I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
7. He who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep, to whom the porter opens. The sheep hear his voice. He calls his sheep by name, leads them out, and he knows the number.
8. When he puts his sheep forth he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. They will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.
9. Yahushua spoke this parable to them, but they did not understand the things He spoke to them. Then Yahushua said to them again: My sheep hear my voice, I know them, they follow me, I give them eternal life. They will never perish, nor will any man pluck them out of my hand.
10. My Parent who gave them to me is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of my Parent's hand. I and my Parent are One.
11. The Yahudim took up stones again to stone Him. Yahushua answered them: Many good works I showed you from my Parent, for which of those works do you stone me?
12. The Yahudim answered Him, saying: For a good work we do not stone you, but for blasphemy, because you being a man make yourself equal with Yahwah. Yahushua answered them: Did I say I am equal to Yahwah? No, I am one with Yahwah. Is it not written in the Scripture: I said: You are gods?
13. He called them gods, to whom the Word of Yahwah came, and the Scripture cannot be broken. Yet you say of Him whom the Parent of all sanctified and sent into the world: You blaspheme; because I said I am the Son of Yahwah, and therefore One with the All Parent?
14. If I do not do the works of my Parent, do not believe me. But if I do, though you not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and believe the Spirit of the great Parent is in me, and I in my Parent.
15. They tried again to take Him, but He escaped out of their hands, and went away again beyond Yordan, into the place where Yahchanan [John] immersed at first, and there He abode.
16. Many resorted to Him, and said: Yahchanan indeed did no miracle, He is the Prophet that should come. And many believed on Him.
Chapter 56
The Raising of Lazarus
1. Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus of Bethany, the town of Miriam [Mary] and her sister Martha. (It was that Miriam who anointed Yahwah with ointment, and wiped His feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick).
2. Therefore his sisters sent to Him, saying: Master, behold, he whom you love is sick. When Yahushua heard that, He said: This sickness is not to death, but that the glory of Yahwah might be manifest in him. Yahushua loved Miriam, her sister, and Lazarus.
3. When He heard he was sick, He still abode two days in the same place where He was. Then after that, He said to his disciples: Let us go into Yahudah again.
4. His disciples said to Him: Master, the Yahudim recently tried to stone you, and you go there again? Yahushua answered: Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walks in the day he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.
5. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbles, because there is no light in him. These things He said, and after that He said to them: Our friend Lazarus sleeps, but I go that I may awake him out of sleep.
6. His disciples said: Master, if he sleep, he will do well. A messenger came to Him, saying: Lazarus is dead.
7. When Yahushua came He found he was in the grave four days already (Bethany was near to Yerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off). Many of the Yahudim came to Martha and Miriam to comfort them concerning their brother.
8. As soon as she heard Yahushua was coming, Martha went and met Him, but Miriam sat still in the house. Martha said to Yahushua: Master, if you were here my brother would not have died. But I know that even now, whatsoever you ask of Yahwah, Yahwah will give it to you.
9. Yahushua said to her: Your brother sleeps, and he will rise again. Martha said to Him: I know he will rise again at the resurrection at the last day.
10. Yahushua said to her: I AM the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me, though he were dead, yet he will live. I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Whosoever lives and believes in me will never die.
11. She said to Him: Yea, Master. I believe you are the Messiah, the Son of Yahwah, who should come into the world. When she had so said she went her way, and called Miriam her sister secretly, saying: The Master is come, and calls for you. As soon as she heard that she arose quickly, and came to Him.
12. Yahushua was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met Him. The Yahudim who were with her in the house and comforted her, when they saw Miriam that she arose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying: She goes to the grave to weep there.
13. When Miriam came to where Yahushua was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him: Master if you were here my brother would not have died. When Yahushua saw her weeping, and the Yahudim also weeping that came with her, He groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. He said: Where did you lay him? They said to Him: Master, come and see, and Yahushua wept.
14. The Yahudim said: Behold, how He loved him! Some of them said: Could this man (who opened the eyes of the blind) have caused that this man should not have died? Groaning again in Himself (for He feared that he might be already dead) Yahushua comes to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.
15. Yahushua said: Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of him supposed to be dead, said to Him: Master, by this time he stinks, for he has been dead four days. Yahushua said to her, Did I not say to you, that if you would believe you should see the glory of Yahwah? Then they took away the stone from the place where Lazarus was laid.
16. Yahushua lifted up His eyes, chanted, invoked the great Name, and said: My Parent, I thank you that you heard me. I know you hear me always, but because of the people who stand by I call upon you that they may believe you sent me. When He had spoken thus, He cried with a loud voice: Lazarus come forth.
17. He that was dead came forth bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was bound about with a napkin.
18. Yahushua said to them: Loose him, let him go. When the thread of life is cut indeed, it does not come again, but when it is whole there is hope. Many of the Yahudim who came to Miriam saw the things Yahushua did, and believed on Him.
Chapter 57
Concerning Little Children
The Forgiveness of Those Who Trespass
Parable of the Fishes
1. At the same time the disciples came to Yahushua, saying: Who is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven? Yahushua called a little child to Him, set him in the middle of them, and said: Verily I say to you, except you are converted, become innocent and teachable as little children, you will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven.
2. Whosoever will humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. Whoever will receive one such little child in my Name receives me.
3. Woe to the world because of offenses! It must need be that offences come, but woe to that man by whom the offence comes. If your lust or your pleasure offends others, cut them off, and cast them from you. It is better for you to enter into life without, rather than having that which will be cast into everlasting fire.
4. Take heed that you not neglect one of these little ones, for I say to you, In heaven their malaks always behold the Face of Yahwah. The Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
5. How do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them is gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, go into the mountains, and seek that which is gone astray? If so be he finds it, verily I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety and nine which did not go astray.
6. Even so it is not the will of your Parent, who is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.
7. There were certain men of doubtful mind, who came to Yahushua, and said to Him: You tell us our life and being is from Yahwah, but we have never seen Yahwah, nor do we know of any Yahwah. Can you show us whom you call the Father-Mother, one Yahwah? We do not know if there is a Yahwah.
8. Yahushua answered them, saying: Hear this parable of the fishes. The fishes of a certain river communed with one another, saying: They tell us our life and being is from water, but we have never seen water, we do not know what water is. Then some among them, wiser than the rest, said: We heard there dwells in the sea a wise and learned Fish, who knows all things. Let us journey to him, and ask him to show us what water is.
9. So several of them set out to find this great and wise Fish. They came at last to the sea where the wise Fish dwelt, and they asked him.
10. When he heard them, he said to them: O, the foolish fish who do not consider! Wise are you, the few who seek. In the water you live, move, and have your being. From the water you came, to the water you return. You live in the water, yet you do not know it. In like manner, you live in Yahwah, and yet you ask of me: Show us Yahwah. Yahwah is in all things, and all things are in Yahwah.
11. Yahushua said to them: If your brother or sister trespass against you, go, declare the fault between you and your brother or sister alone. If they hear you, you gained them. But if they will not hear you, then take with you one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
12. If they neglect to hear them, tell it to the congregation. If they neglect to hear the congregation, let them be to you as those who are outside the congregation. Verily I say to you, Whatsoever you justly bind on earth, will be bound in heaven; and whatsoever you justly loose in earth, will be loosed in heaven.
13. Again I say to you, If seven, or even if three of you, agree on earth as touching anything they ask, it will be done for them of my Father-Mother who is in heaven. For where even three are gathered together in my Name, there I am in the midst of them. If there is but one, I am in the heart of that one.
14. Kepha came to Him, and said: Master, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Till seven times? Yahushua said to him: I do not say to you, until seven times, but until seventy times seven. For in the Prophets likewise unrighteousness was found, even after they were anointed by Yahwah's Spirit.
15. He spoke this parable, saying: There was a certain king who took account of his servants. When he began to reckon, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. As he had nothing to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold (and his wife, children, and all he had), and payment to be made.
16. The servant fell down and worshipped him, saying: Master, have patience with me, I will pay you all. The lord of that servant was moved with compassion, loosed him, and forgave him his debt.
17. The same servant went out, and found one of his fellow-servants who owed him a hundred pence. He laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying: Pay me what you owe.
18. His fellow-servant fell down at his feet, and begged him, saying: Have patience with me, I will pay you all. And he would not, but went and cast him into prison till he should pay the debt.
19. So when his fellow-servants saw what he did they were very sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
20. After he called him, his lord said to him: O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt because you desired me. Should you not also have compassion on your fellow-servant, even as I had pity on you? His lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due to him.
21. So likewise will the heavenly Parent judge you, if you do not forgive everyone from your heart, his brother or sister, their trespasses. Nevertheless, let every man see that he pay that which he owes, for Yahwah loves the just.
Chapter 58
Divine Love To The Repentant
1. Yahushua said to the disciples, and to the multitude around them: Who is the son of Yahwah? Who is the daughter of Yahwah? Even the company of those who turn from all evil, do righteousness, love mercy, and walk reverently with Yahwah. These are the sons and the daughters of man who come up out of Egypt, to whom it is given that they should be called the sons and the daughters of Yahwah.
2. They are gathered from all tribes, nations, peoples, and tongues. They come from the East, the West, the North, and the South. They dwell on Mount Zion. They eat bread, they drink of the fruit of the vine at the table of Yahwah, and they see Yahwah face to face.
3. Then all the taxgatherers and sinners drew near to Him to hear Him. The Pharisees and Scribes murmured, saying: This man receives sinners, and eats with them.
4. He spoke this parable to them, saying: What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? When he finds it he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
5. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them: Rejoice with me, I found my sheep which was lost. I say to you, that likewise joy will be in heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety and nine just persons who need no repentance.
6. What woman, having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, does not light a candle and seek diligently till she find it? When she finds it she calls her friends and her neighbors together, saying: Rejoice with me, for I found the piece of silver I lost. Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the malaks of Yahwah over one sinner who repents.
7. He also spoke this parable: A certain man had two sons. The younger of them said to his parents: Give me the portion of goods that falls to me. So they divided to him their living. Not many days after the younger son gathered all together, took his journey into a fair country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
8. When he spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land, and he began to be in want. He went, joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. He would have filled his belly with the husks the swine ate, but no man gave to him.
9. When he came to himself, he said: How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise, go to my father and mother, and will say to them: My father and my mother, I sinned against Heaven, and before you. I am not worthy to be called your son, make me as one of your hired servants.
10. He arose, and came to his parents. When he was a great way off, his mother and his father saw him, had compassion, ran, fell on his neck, and kissed him. The son said to them: My father and my mother, I sinned against Heaven, and in your sight, and am not worthy to be called your son.
11. The father said to his servants: Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. Bring here the best ripe fruits, the bread, the oil, and the wine. Let us eat, and be merry, for this my son was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
12. Now his elder son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house he heard music and dancing. He called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. He said to him: Your brother who was lost is come back. Your father and your mother prepared the bread, the oil, the wine, and the best ripe fruits, because they received him safe and sound.
13. He was angry, and would not go in, therefore his father came out, and asked him. Answering, he said to his father: Lo, these many years I served you, I did not transgress your commandments at any time, and yet you never gave me such goodly feast that I may make merry with my friends.
14. As soon as this your son is come, who devoured your living with harlots, you prepared for him a feast of the best you have.
15. His father said to him: Son, you are ever with me, all I have is yours. It was appropriate that we should be merry and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive again. Was lost, and is found.
Chapter 59
Yahushua Forewarns His Disciples
He found Zaccheus
1. Yahushua went up into a mountain. He sat there with His disciples, and taught them. He said to them: Do not fear, little flock, it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
2. Sell what you have, do that which is good for those who have not. Provide yourselves bags which do not get old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches, nor moth corrupts. For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.
3. Let your body be clothed, your lights burning, and you yourselves like to men who wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes, and knocks, they may open to him immediately.
4. Blessed are those servants whom Yahwah, when He comes, will find watching. Verily I say to you, He will clothe Himself, make them to sit down at His table, will come forth, and serve them.
5. If He comes in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
6. You know this, not knowing what hour the thief would come, the guardian of the house would have watched, and not allowed his house to be broken through. Be ready, for the Son of man comes at an hour when you think not.
7. Kepha said to Him: Master, do you speak this parable to us, or even to all? Yahushua said: Who is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will make ruler over his household, to give those who serve their portion in due season?
8. Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find so doing, when he comes. Of a truth I say to you, he will make him ruler over all he has.
9. But if that servant say in his heart: My lord delays his coming, and begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, to eat, drink, and to be drunken, the lord of that servant will come in a day when he does not look for him, at an hour when he is not aware, and will appoint him his portion with the unfaithful.
10. That servant who knew his lord's will, and did not prepare himself, nor did according to his will, will be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, and did commit things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. For to whomsoever little is given, of him they will require the less.
11. For those who know Yahwah, and found in The Way of Life the mysteries of Light, and then fell into sin, will be punished with greater chastisements than those who did not know The Way of Life.
12. Such will return when their cycle is completed, and to them will be given space to consider, amend their lives, and learning the mysteries, enter into the kingdom of light.
13. Yahushua entered and passed through Yericho. Behold, there was a man named Zaccheus, who was the chief among the collectors of tribute, and he was rich.
14. He wanted to see Yahushua, who He was, and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. He ran ahead, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was to pass that way.
15. Yahushua came to the place. He looked up, saw him, and said to him: Zaccheus, hurry and come down. I must abide at your house today. He hurried, came down, and received Him joyfully.
16. When they saw it, they all murmured, saying: He has gone to be guest with a man who is a sinner.
17. Zachaeus stood, and said to Yahushua: Behold, Master, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I took anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
18. Yahushua said to him: Today salvation is come to your house, for so much as you are a just man, you are also a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which you deem to be lost.
Chapter 60
Yahushua Rebukes Hypocrisy
1. Yahushua spoke to the multitude, and to His disciples, saying: The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moshe's seat. Observe whatsoever they bid you, observe and do. But do not do after their works, for they say, and not do. They bind heavy burdens, grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders, but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
2. But all their works they do to be seen of men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the borders of their garments, love the uppermost rooms at feasts, the chief seats in the synagogues, greetings in the markets, and to be called of men: Rabbi, Rabbi.
3. Do not desire to be called Rabbi [teacher], for one is your Rabbi, even Messiah, and all you are brothers. Do not call anyone on earth Father [Peter], for on earth are fathers in the flesh only. In Heaven there is One who is your Father and your Mother, who has the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive.
4. Do not desire to be called masters, for one is your Master, even Messiah. Those who are greatest among you will be your servants. Whosoever will exalt themselves will be abased, and those who are humble in themselves will be exalted.
5. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut up the kingdom of Heaven against men, you do not go in yourselves, nor allow those who are entering to go in.
6. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer, therefore you will receive the greater damnation.
7. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
8. Woe to you, you blind guides, who say: Whosoever will swear by the Temple, it is nothing, but whosoever will swear by the gold of the Temple, he is a debtor! You fools and blind, which is greater, the gold, or the Temple that sanctifies the gold?
9. And: Whosoever will swear by the altar, it is nothing, but whosoever swears by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. You fools and blind, which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
10. Whoever swears by the altar, swears by it, and by all things on it. Whoever swears by the Temple, swears by it, and by Him who dwells there. He who swears by Heaven swears by the throne of Yahwah, and by the sacred One that sits there.
11. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay tithe of mint, anise, and cummin, yet omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith. These you ought to have done, and not leave the other undone. You blind guides! You strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel.
12. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You make the outside of the cup clean, and the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. You blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, then the outside of those, that they may be clean also.
13. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like to whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but within are full of the bones of the dead, and of all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and make believe.
14. Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous. You say: If we were in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
15. So you are witness to yourselves, that you do as the children of those who killed the prophets. Fill you up then the measure of your fathers.
16. The sacred Wisdom said: Behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify, some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city. Upon you will come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharyah son of Barachyah, who was killed between the temple and the altar. Verily I say to you, All these things will come upon this generation [40 years].
17. O Yerusalem, Yerusalem, you killed the prophets, and stoned those who were sent to you. How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not!
18. Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I say to you, You will not see me here again till you say: Sacred, sacred, sacred, Blessed are those who come in the Name of Yahwah [2Ezra 1:32-33, Matthew 23:36-38, Leviticus 26:27-33, Deuteronomy 11:26, Luke 21:20, Mark 13:14].
Chapter 61
Yahushua Foretells The End Of The Cycle
1. As Yahushua sat upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying: Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world? Yahushua answered, and said to them: Take heed that no man deceive you. Many will come in my Name, saying I am Christ, and will deceive many.
2. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
3. In those days those who have power will gather to themselves the lands and riches of the earth for their own lusts. They will oppress the many who lack, hold them in bondage, use them to increase their riches, they will even oppress the beasts of the field, and set up the abominable thing. Yahwah will send them His messengers, and they will proclaim His laws which men hid by their traditions, and those who transgress will die.
4. They will deliver you up to be afflicted, and will kill you. You will be hated of all nations for my Name's sake. Many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Many false prophets will rise, and will deceive many.
5. Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations, and then the end will come.
6. When you see the abomination of desolation (spoken of by Daniyah the prophet) stand in the sacred place (whoever reads, let him understand), let those who are in Yahudah flee to the mountains. Let those who are on the housetop not come down to take anything out of the house, nor should those who are in the field return back to take their clothes.
7. Woe to those who are with child, and to those who give suck in those days! Pray that your flight not be in the winter, nor on the Sabbath day. There will be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever will be. Except those days are shortened, there should be no flesh saved, but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.
8. If any man says to you: Lo, here is Messiah (or: there), do not hurry to believe. For there will arise false Messiahs, and false prophets, who will show great signs and wonders, insomuch that, if it were possible, they will deceive the very elect. Behold, I told you before.
9. If they say to you: Behold, he is in the desert; do not go forth. Or: Behold, he is in the secret chambers; do not hurry to believe. For as the lightening [dawn] comes out of the east, and shines even to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
10. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars will fall from Heaven, and the powers of the Heavens will be shaken.
11. The sign of the Son of man will appear in Heaven [Revelation 19:11], and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of man coming in the clouds of Heaven with power and great glory. He will send His malaks with a great sound as of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of Heaven to the other.
12. Learn a parable of the fig tree. When its branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know summer is near. So likewise, when you see all these things, know it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say to you, This generation will not pass till all these things are fulfilled. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
13. Of that day and hour no man knows, no, not the malaks of Heaven, but the All Parent only. For as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of man be.
14. In the days that were before the Flood they were eating, drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered into the ark. They did not know until the flood came, and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of man be.
15. Two will be in the field, one is taken, and the other left. Two women are grinding at the mill, one is taken, and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master comes.
16. But know this, if the guardian of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken up. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of man comes in such an hour as you think not.
17. Who is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
18. Blessed is that servant, whom his lord will find so doing when He comes. Verily I say to you, He will make him ruler over all his goods.
19. The evil servant says in his heart: My lord delays his coming. He begins to smite his fellow servants, eat with the glutton, and drink with the drunken.
20. The lord of that servant will come in a day when he does not look for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of. He will appoint him his portion with the hypocrites in the outer darkness with the cruel, and those who have no love or no pity. There will be weeping, and gnashing of teeth.
Chapter 62
The Parable Of The Ten Virgins
1. The kingdom of Heaven is like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
2. Those who were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them. The wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
3. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered, and slept. At midnight a great cry was made: Behold, the bridegroom comes, go out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
4. The foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying: Not so, unless there is not enough for us and you. Go to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.
5. While they went to buy, the bridegroom came. Those who were ready went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.
6. Afterwards the other virgins also came, saying: Master, Master, open to us. But he answered, and said: Verily I say to you, I do not know you.
7. Watch therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour when the Son of man comes. Keep your lamps burning.
Chapter 63
Parable Of The Talents
1. He also said: The kingdom of Heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his servants, and delivered his goods to them. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to every man according to his several ability. And he took his journey.
2. He who received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made five other talents. And likewise he who received two, he also gained another two. But he who received one went, digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
3. After a long time, the lord of those servants comes, and reckons with them. And so he who received five talents came, and brought another five talents, saying: Master, you delivered to me five talents, behold, I gained beside them five talents more. His lord said to him: Well done, you good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of your lord.
4. He who received two talents came, and said: Master, you delivered to me two talents, behold, I gained two other talents beside them. His lord said to him: Well done, good and faithful servant, you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of your lord.
5. Then he who received the one talent came, and said: Master, I know you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not straw. I was afraid, went, and hid your talent in the earth. Lo, there you have what is yours.
6. His lord answered, and said to him: You wicked and slothful servant, you tell me I reap where I did not sow, and gather where I did not straw? You should have put your talent to use, with profit, and then at my coming I would have received my own with interest.
7. Take the talent from him, and give it to him who has two talents. Cast the unprofitable servant out into outer darkness, for that is the portion he chose. To every one who improves will be given, and he will have abundance. From him who did not improve, will be taken away even that which he has.
8. Yahushua said to His disciples: Be approved money-changers of the kingdom, rejecting the bad and the false, retaining the good and the true.
9. Yahushua sat over against the Treasury, and watched how the people cast money into the Treasury.
10. There came a certain poor widow, she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
11. He called His disciples to Him, and said: Verily I say to you, This poor widow cast in more than all those who cast into the Treasury.
12. For all those cast in of their abundance, but she of her poverty did cast in all she had, even all her living.
Chapter 64
Yahushua Teaches In The Palm Circle
1. Yahushua came to a certain fountain near Bethany, around which grew twelve palm trees, where He often went with His disciples to teach them of the mysteries of the kingdom. He sat beneath the shade of the trees, and His disciples with Him.
2. One of them said: Master, it is written of old; Yahwah made man in his own image, male and female he created them. How do you say then Yahwah is one? Yahushua said to them: Verily, I say to you, In Yahwah there is neither male nor female, both are one, and Yahwah is the two in one. He is She, and She is He. Yahwah is perfect, Infinite, and One.
3. As the Father is manifest in the man, and the Mother hidden, so the Mother is manifest in the woman, and the Father hidden. The name of the Father and the Mother are equally hallowed, for they are the great Powers of Yahwah. The one is not without the other, in the One Yahwah.
4. Adore Yahwah, above you, beneath you, on the right hand, on the left hand, before you, behind you, within you, around you. Verily, there is but One Yahwah. He is All in All, in whom all things consist, the Fount of all Life and all Substance, without beginning, without end.
5. The things which are seen and pass away are the manifestations of the unseen which are eternal, that from the visible things of Nature you may reach to the invisible things of Yahwah, and attain to that which is spiritual by that which is natural.
6. Verily, Yahwah created man male and female in the divine image, and all nature is in the Image of Yahwah. Yahwah is both male and female, not divided, but the two in one, undivided and eternal, by whom and in whom are all things, visible and invisible.
7. From the Eternal they flow, to the Eternal they return. The spirit to Spirit, soul to Soul, mind to Mind, sense to Sense, life to Life, form to Form, dust to Dust.
8. In the beginning Yahwah willed, and there came forth the beloved Son (the divine Love), and the beloved Daughter (the sacred Wisdom), equally proceeding from the One Eternal Fount. Of these are the generations of the Spirits of Yahwah, the Sons and Daughters of the Eternal.
9. These descended to earth, dwelled with men, and taught them the ways of Yahwah, to love the laws of the Eternal, and obey them, that in them they may find salvation.
10. Many nations saw their day. Under different names they were revealed to them, but they did not rejoice in their light. Even now they come to you again, but Yisrayah does not receive them.
11. Verily I say to you, my twelve whom I have chosen, That which was taught by those of old time is true, though corrupted by the foolish imaginations of men.
12. Yahushua spoke to Miriam Magdalene, saying: It is written in the law: Whoever leaves father or mother, let him die the death. Now the law speaks not of the parents in this life, but of the Indweller of Light which is in us to this day.
13. Whoever forgets Messiah the Savior, the sacred Law, and the body of the Elect, let them die the death. Yea, let them be lost in the outer darkness, for so they willed, and none can hinder.
Chapter 65
The Last Anointing by Miriam Magdalene
1. On the evening of the Sabbath before the Passover Yahushua was in Bethany. He went to the house of Simon the leper, and they made Him a supper there. Martha served while Lazarus was one of those who sat at table with Him.
2. Miriam called Magdalene came there, having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard, very precious and costly. She opened the box, poured the ointment on the head of Yahushua, anointed His feet, and wiped them with the hair of her head.
3. One among His disciples (Judas Iscariot, who was to betray Him) said: Why is this waste of ointment which might have been sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? He said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was filled with jealousy and greed, had the [money] bag, and bore what was put in there. So they murmured against her.
4. Yahushua said: Let her alone, why do you trouble her? She did all she could. Yea, she did a good work on me. For you always have the poor with you, but me you do not always have. She anointed my body for the day of my burial.
5. Verily, I say to you, Wheresoever this Gospel is preached in the whole world, there will be told this that she did, for a memorial of her.
6. Then Satan entered into the heart of Judas Iscariot. He went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains how he might betray Him. They were glad, and covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver, the price of a slave. He promised them, and after that searched for an opportunity to betray Him.
7. At that time Yahushua said to His disciples: Preach to all the world. Say: Strive to receive the mysteries of Light. Enter into the Kingdom of Light, for now is the accepted time, now is the day of Salvation [Nazarenes 13:2, Isaiah 61:1-3].
8. Do not put off from day to day, from cycle to cycle, and eon to eon, in the belief that when you return to this world you will succeed in gaining the mysteries, and entering into the Kingdom of Light.
9. You do not know when the number of perfected souls will be filled up, and the gates of the Kingdom of Light will be shut. None will be able to come in there from here, nor will any go forth.
10. Strive, that you may enter while the call is made, until the number of perfected souls is sealed and complete, and the door is shut [Shepherd of Hermas].
Chapter 66
Yahushua Again Teaches His Disciples
1. Yahushua taught them, saying: Yahwah raised up witnesses to the truth in every nation, and every age, that all might know the will of the Eternal, do it, and enter into the kingdom to be rulers and workers with the Eternal.
2. Yahwah is Power, Love, and Wisdom, and these three are One. Yahwah is Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, and these three are One.
3. Yahwah is Justice, Knowledge, and Purity, and these three are One. Yahwah is Splendor, Compassion, and Holiness, and these three are One.
4. These four trinities are one in the hidden Deity: the Perfect, the Infinite, the Only.
5. Likewise, in every man who is perfected, there are three persons, that of the son, that of the spouse, and that of the father, and these three are one.
6. In every woman who is perfected, there are three persons, that of the daughter, that of the bride, and that of the mother, and these three are one. Then the man and the woman are one, even as Yahwah is One.
7. Thus it is with Yahwah the Father-Mother, in whom is neither male nor female, and in whom is both. Each is threefold, all are One in the hidden unity.
8. Do not marvel at this, for as it is above so it is below, as it is below so it is above, and that which is on earth is so because it is so in heaven.
9. Again I say to you, I and My Bride are one, even as Maria Magdalena, whom I chose and sanctified to Myself as a type, is one with Me. I and My congregation are One. The congregation is the elect of humanity for the salvation of all.
10. The congregation of the first born is the Maria of Yahwah. Thus said the Eternal: She is My Mother, she conceived Me, and brought Me forth as Her Son in every age and clime. She is My Bride, ever one in sacred union with Me her Spouse. She is My Daughter, for she issued and proceeded from Me her Father, rejoicing in Me.
11. These two trinities are one in the Eternal, and are strewn forth in each man and woman who are made perfect, ever being born of Yahwah, and rejoicing in light, ever being lifted up and made one with Yahwah, ever conceiving and bringing forth Yahwah for the salvation of the many.
12. This is the mystery of the trinity in humanity. In every individual child of man must be accomplished the mystery of Yahwah, ever witnessing to the light, suffering for the truth, ascending into heaven, and sending forth the Spirit of Truth. This is the path of salvation, for the kingdom of Yahwah is within.
13. One said to Him: Master, when will the kingdom come? He answered, and said: When what is outside is as what is within, and what is within is as what is outside, the male with the female, neither male nor female, but the two in one. Those who have ears to hear, let them hear.
Chapter 67
Entry Into Yerusalem
1. On the first day of the week they came near to Yerusalem, to Bethage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives. He sent forth two of His disciples, and said to them: Go your way into the village by you. As soon as you enter into it, you will find an ass tied, which no man ever sat on. Loosen him, and bring him.
2. If any say to you: Why do you do this? You say: Yahushua has need of him. Rightaway they will send him here.
3. They went their way, found the ass tied outside in a place where two ways met, and they loosened him. And certain of those who stood there said to them: What do you do, loosening the colt? They said to them even as Yahushua commanded. So they let them go.
4. They brought the ass to Yahushua, cast their garments upon him, and He sat upon the ass. Many spread their garments in the way, others cut down branches off the trees, and strewed them in the way.
5. Those who went before, and those who followed, cried, saying: Hosanna! Blessed are you who comes in the Name of Yahwah. Blessed is the Kingdom of our ancestor David, and blessed are you who comes in the Name of the Highest. Hosanna in the highest.
6. Yahushua entered into Yerusalem, and into the Temple. He looked round about upon all things. He spoke this parable to them, saying:
7. When the Son of man comes in His glory, and all the sacred malaks with Him, He will sit upon the throne of His glory. All nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
8. The King will say to those on his right hand: Come you blessed of my Parent, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. I was hungry, and you gave me food. Was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. Naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.
9. The righteous will answer Him, saying: Master, when did we see you hungry, and fed you? Or thirsty, and gave you drink? When did we see you a stranger, and took you in? Or naked, and clothed you? Or when were you sick, or in prison, and came to you?
10. The King will answer, and say to them: Behold, I manifest myself to you in all created forms. Verily I say to you, inasmuch as you have done it to the least of these my brothers, you have done it to me.
11. Then He will say also to those on His left hand: Depart from me you evil souls into the eternal fires you prepared for yourselves, till you are purified seven times, and cleansed from your sins.
12. For I was hungry, and you gave me no food. I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink. I was a stranger, and you did not take me in. Naked, and you did not clothe me. Sick, and in prison, and you did not visit me.
13. They will answer Him, also saying: Master, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or in prison, and did not minister to you?
14. He will answer them, saying: Behold! I manifest myself to you in all created forms. Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to the least of these my brothers, you did not do it to me.
15. The cruel and the loveless will go away into chastisement for ages, and, if they do not repent, be utterly destroyed. The righteous and the merciful will go into life and peace everlasting.
Chapter 68
The Householder And The Husbandmen
Order Out Of Disorder
1. Yahushua said: Hear another parable. There was a certain householder who planted a vineyard, hedged it round about, dug a winepress in it, built a tower, let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
2. When the time of the ripe fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. The husbandmen took his servants, beat one, stoned another, and killed another.
3. He sent other servants, more honorable than the first, and they did to them likewise. Last of all he sent to them his son, saying: They will reverence my son.
4. When the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves: This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. They caught him, cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
5. When the lord of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those husbandmen? They say to him: He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard to other husbandmen, who will render him the fruits in their seasons.
6. Yahushua said to them: Did you never read in the scriptures, The Stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the Pyramid? This is Yahwah's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? [Psalm 118:22-23]
7. Therefore say I to you, The kingdom of Yahwah will be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits of it. Whosoever falls on this Stone will be broken, and on whomsoever it falls, it will grind them to powder.
8. When the chief priests and Pharisees heard His parables, they perceived He spoke of them. But when they wanted to lay hands on Him they feared the multitude, because they took Him for a prophet.
9. The disciples asked Him afterwards the meaning of this parable, and He said to them: The vineyard is the world, the husbandmen are your priests, and the messengers are the servants of the good Law, and the Prophets.
10. When the fruits of their labor are demanded of the priests, none are given, but they evilly treat the messengers who teach the truth of Yahwah, even as they did from the beginning.
11. When the Son of Man comes, even the Messiah of Yahwah, they gather together against the sacred One, kill Him, and cast Him out of the vineyard, for they have not done the things of the Spirit, but did their own pleasure and gain, rejecting the sacred Law.
12. Had they accepted the Anointed One, who is the corner-stone and the head, it would have been well with them, and the Building would have stood, even as the Temple of Yahwah inhabited by the Spirit.
13. The day will come when the Law they reject will become the head-stone, seen of all. Those who stumble on it will be broken, and those who persist in disobedience will be ground to pieces.
14. Yahwah gave dominion over the course of this world to some of the malaks, charging them to rule in wisdom, in justice, and in love. But they neglected the commands of the Most High, and rebelled against the good order of Yahwah. Thus cruelty, suffering, and sorrow entered the world, till the time the Master returns and takes possession of all things, and calls His servants to account.
15. He spoke another parable, saying: A certain man [Anu] had two sons [Ea and Enlil]. He came to the first, and said: Son, go work today in my vineyard. He answered, and said: I will not. But afterwards he repented, and went. He came to the second, and said likewise. He answered, and said: I go, sir. But he did not go. Which of them two did the will of his father?
16. They say to him: The first. Yahushua said to them: Verily I say to you, The publicans and harlots go into the kingdom of Yahwah before you. Yahchanan came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him. The taxgatherers and the harlots believed him. But you, when you saw it, did not repent afterwards, that you might believe him.
17. Yahushua gathered together all His disciples in a certain place. He said to them: Can you make perfection to appear out of that which is imperfect? Can you bring order out of disorder? And they said: Master, we cannot.
18. He placed them according to the number of each in a four-square order, each side lacking one of twelve (and this He did, knowing who should betray Him, who should be counted one of them by man, but was not of them).
19. The first in the seventh rank from above in the middle, and the last in the seventh from below, and him that was neither first nor last, He made the Center of all. He placed the rest according to a Divine order, each finding his own place, so those who were above, were even as those who were below, the left side was equal to the right side, and the right side to the left, according to the sum of their numbers.
20. He said: See how you stand? I say to you, In like manner is the order of the kingdom. The One who rules all is in your middle, and He is the center. With Him are the hundred and twenty, the elect of Yisrayah. After them comes the hundred and forty and four thousand, the elect of the Gentiles, who are their brothers.
Chapter 69
The Messiah Within, The Resurrection And The Life
1. Yahushua sat by the west of the Temple with His disciples. Behold, there passed some carrying one who was dead to burial, and a certain one said to him: Master, if a man die, will he live again?
2. He answered, and said: I am the resurrection, and the life. I am the Good, the Beautiful, the True. If a man believe in me he will not die, but live eternally. As all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in the Messiah. Blessed are the dead who die in me, made perfect in my image and likeness, for they rest from their labors, and their works follow them. They overcame evil, are made Pillars in the Temple of Yahwah, and they go out no more, for they rest in the Eternal.
3. For those who did evil there is no rest, but they go out and in, and suffer correction for ages, till they are made perfect. For those who did good, and attained to perfection, there is endless rest, they go into life everlasting. They rest in the Eternal.
4. Over them the repeated death and birth have no power, for them the wheel of the Eternal revolves no more, for they attained to the Center, where eternal rest is, and the center of all things is Yahwah.
5. One of the disciples asked Him: How will a man enter into the Kingdom? He answered, and said: If you do not make the below as the above, the left as the right, the behind as the before, entering into the Center and passing into the Spirit, you will not enter into the Kingdom of Yahwah.
6. He said: Do not believe any man is wholly without error. The word of error was found even among the prophets, and those who were initiated into the Messiahhood. But there are a multitude of errors which are covered by love.
7. Now when the eventide was come, He went out to Bethany with the twelve. For there abode Lazarus, Miriam, and Martha, whom He loved.
8. Salome came to Him, and asked Him, saying: Master, how long will death hold sway? He answered: So long as your men inflict burdens, and your women bring forth. I am come for this purpose, to end the works of the heedless.
9. Salome said to Him: Then I did well in not bringing forth [children]. Yahushua answered, and said: Eat of every pasture which is good, but do not eat of that which has the bitterness of death.
10. Salome asked when those things of which she inquired should be known. Yahushua said: When you tread upon the vesture of shame, and rise above desire. When the two are one, and the male with the female are neither male nor female.
11. Again, to another disciple who asked: When will all obey the law? Yahushua said: When the Spirit of Yahwah fills the whole earth, and every heart of man and of woman.
12. I cast the Law into the earth, it took root, and bore in due time twelve fruits for the nourishment of all. I cast the Law into the water, and it was cleansed from all defilements of evil. I cast the Law into the fire, and the gold was purged from all dross. I cast the Law into the air, and it was made alive by the Spirit of the Living One who fills all things, and dwells in every heart.
13. Many other like sayings He spoke to those who had ears to hear, and an understanding mind. But to the multitude they were dark sayings.
Chapter 70
Yahushua Rebukes Kepha For His Haste
1. As they were coming from Bethany the next day, Kepha was hungry. Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves on it, he came if maybe he might find fruit there. When he came he found nothing but leaves, for the time of figs was not yet.
2. Kepha was angry, and said to it: Accursed tree, no man eat fruit of you hereafter forever. And some of the disciples heard of it.
3. The next day Yahushua and His disciples passed by. Kepha said to Yahushua: Master, behold, the fig tree I cursed is green and flourishing, why did my word not prevail?
4. Yahushua said to Kepha: You do not know what spirit you are of. Why did you curse that which Yahwah did not curse? Kepha said: Behold, Master I was hungry. Finding leaves and no fruit, I was angry, and I cursed the tree.
5. Yahushua said: Son of Yonah, do you not know the time of figs is not yet? Behold the corn which is in the field, which grows according to its nature, first the green shoot, then the stalk, then the ear. Would you be angry if you came at the time of the tender shoot, or the stalk, and did not find the corn in the ear? Would you curse the tree which, full of buds and blossoms, had not ripe fruit yet?
6. Verily I say, you, Kepha, one of my twelve, will deny me three times in his fear and anger with curses, and swear that he does not know me. And the rest will forsake me for a season.
7. But you will repent, and grieve bitterly, because in your heart you love me. You will be as an Altar of twelve hewn stones, a witness to my Name. You will be as the Servants of servants, and I will give to you the keys of the congregation. You will feed my sheep, and my lambs, you will be my vice-regent upon earth.
8. There will arise men among those who succeed you (of whom some will indeed love me even as you), who being hotheaded, unwise, and void of patience, will curse those whom Yahwah did not curse, and persecute them in their ignorance, because they cannot yet find in them the fruits they seek.
9. Others (being lovers of themselves) will make alliance with the kings and rulers of the world, seek earthly power, riches, and domination, and put to death by fire and sword those who seek the truth, and are truly my disciples.
10. In their days I, Yahushua, will be crucified afresh, and put to open shame, for they will profess to do these things in my Name. Kepha said: Be it far from you, Master.
11. Yahushua answered: As I will be nailed to the stake, so also will my congregation in those days, for she is my Bride, and one with me. But the day will come when this darkness will pass away, and true Light will shine.
12. One will sit on my throne, who will be a Man of Truth, Goodness, and Power. He will be filled with love and wisdom beyond all others. He will rule my congregation by a fourfold twelve, by two and seventy as of old, and He will teach only that which is true.
13. My congregation will be filled with Light, and give Light to all nations of the earth. There will be One sitting on His throne as a King and a Priest.
14. My Spirit will be upon Him, His throne will endure, and not be shaken, for it will be founded on love, truth, and equity. Light will come to it, and go forth from it, to all the nations of the earth. And the Truth will make them free.
Chapter 71
The Cleansing Of The Temple
1. The Passover was at hand, and Yahushua went up again from Bethany into Yerusalem. He found those who sold oxen, sheep, and doves, in the temple, and the changers of money sitting.
2. He made a scourge of seven cords. He drove them all out of the temple, loosed the sheep, the oxen, and the doves, poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables.
3. He said to them: Take these things. Do not make my Father's House a house of merchandise. Is it not written, My House is a house of prayer for all nations? But you made it a den of thieves, and filled it with all manner of abominations. [Jeremiah 7:11; Isaiah 56:7]
4. He would not allow any man to carry any vessel of blood through the temple, or any animals to be killed. The disciples remembered that it was written: Zeal for your house has eaten me up [Psalm 69:9].
5. The Yahudim answered, and said to Him: What sign do you show to us, seeing you do these things? Yahushua answered, and said to them: Again I say to you, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
6. The Yahudim said: Forty and six years this temple was in building, and will you rear it up in three days? But He spoke of the temple of His Body.
7. When He was risen from the dead, His disciples remembered He said this to them. They believed the scripture and the word Yahushua had said.
8. The scribes and the priests saw and heard, were astonished, and sought how they might destroy Him, for they feared Him, seeing all the people were attentive to His doctrines.
9. When evening was come He went out of the city. By day He taught in the Temple, and the people came early in the morning to hear Him in the Temple courts. At night He went out, and abode on the Mount of Olives.
10. When He was in Yerusalem at the passover, many believed in His Name, when they saw the miracles He did.
11. Yahushua did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men. He did not need that any should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.
12. Yahushua saw the passover night was at hand. He sent two of His disciples, that they should prepare the upper room where He desired to eat with His twelve, and buy such things as were needful for the feast which He purposed afterwards.
Chapter 72
The Many Mansions In The One House
1. Yahushua sat with His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. He said to them: Do not let your heart be troubled, you believe in Yahwah, believe in me also. In my parent's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would tell you. I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself so that where I am, there you may be also. You know where I go, and you know The Way.
2. Thomas said to Him: Master, we do not know where you go, how can we know the way? Yahushua said to him: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the All Parent but by me. If you know me, you know my Parent also, and from now on you know and have seen my Parent.
3. Philip said to Him: Master, show us the All-Parent, and it suffices us. Yahushua said to him: Have I been so long time with you, and yet you do not know me, Philip? He who sees me sees the All-Parent. How do you say, then: Show us the All-Parent? Do you not believe I am in the All-Parent, and the All-Parent in me? The words I speak to you I speak not of myself, the All-Parent who dwells in me does the works.
4. Believe me, I am in the All-Parent, and the All-Parent in me. Or else, believe me for the works I did. Verily, verily, I say to you, Those who believe on me, they will also do the works that I do. And greater works than these they will do, because I go to my Parent.
5. Whatsoever you ask in my Name, that I will do, that the All-Parent may be glorified in the Son and Daughter of Man. If you ask anything in my Name, I will do it.
6. If you love me, keep my commandments.
7. I will pray the All-Parent, who gives you another Comforter, to abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it sees not, neither knows, but you know. The Spirit dwells with you, and will be in you.
8. Those who have my commandments, and keep them, these are those who love me. Those who love me will be loved of my Parent. I will love them, and will manifest myself to them.
9. Judas said to Him: Master, how is it you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world? Yahushua answered, and said to him: If any love me, they will keep my words. The sacred One will love them, we will come to them, and make our abode with them.
10. Those who do not love me do not keep my sayings. The word you hear is not mine, but the All-Parent's who sent me. These things I speak to you, being yet present with you. The Comforter, who is my Mother, sacred Wisdom, whom the Father will send in my Name, she will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I said to you.
11. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. You heard how I said to you, I go away, and come again to you. If you love me you would rejoice, because I said: I go to the All-Parent. For the All-Parent is greater than I.
12. I told you before it comes to pass, that, when it is come to pass, you may believe. After this I will not talk much with you, for the prince of this world comes, and has nothing in me.
13. That the world may know I love the All-Parent, as the All-Parent gave me commandment, even so I do. Even to the end.
Chapter 73
The True Vine
1. After these things Yahushua spoke, saying to them: I am the true vine, and my Parent is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit is taken away. Every branch that bears fruit is purged, that it may bring forth more fruit.
2. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can you, except you abide in me. I am the tree, you are the branches. Whoever abides in me, and I in them, the same brings forth much fruit, for without me you do nothing.
3. If any do not abide in me, they are cast forth as useless branches, and they wither away. Men gather them, cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you will, and it will be done to you.
4. Verily, I am the true Bread who comes down out of Heaven, even the Substance of Yahwah who is one with the Life of Yahwah. As many grains are in one bread, so are you who believe, and do the will of my Parent, one in me. Not as your ancestors ate manna and are dead, those who eat this Bread will live forever.
5. As the wheat is separated from the chaff, so you must be separated from the falsities of the world. You must not go out of the world, but live separate in the world, for the life of the world.
6. Verily, verily, the wheat is parched by fire, so must you my disciples pass through tribulations. Rejoice, for having suffered with me as one body, you will reign with me in one body, and give life to the world.
7. Herein is my Parent glorified, that you bear much fruit. So you will be my disciples. As the All-Parent loves me, so I love you, continue in my love. If you keep my commandments, you abide in my love, even as I kept my Parent's commandments, and abide in the spirit of love.
8. These things I speak to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, that you love one another as I love you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friend. You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.
9. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his lord does. I call you friends, for I made known to you all things I heard of my Parent. You did not choose me, I chose you, and ordained you, that you should remain. Whatsoever you ask of the All-Parent in my Name, you may receive.
10. These things I command you: Love one another, and all the creatures of Yahwah. If the world hate you, you know it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
11. Remember the word I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my saying, they will keep yours also. All these things they will do to you for my Name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent me.
12. If I did not come and speak to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no cloak for their sin. He who hates me, hates my Parent also. If I did not do among them the works which no other man did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Parent. This comes to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law: They hated me without a cause.
13. When the Comforter is come, Whom I will send to you from the All Parent (even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father and the Mother), the same will testify of me. You will also bear witness, because you were with me from the beginning.
Chapter 74
Yahushua Foretells Persecutions
1. These things I speak to you that you should be forewarned. They will put you out of the synagogues. Yea, the time comes that whosoever kills you will think they do Yahwah a service. They will do these things to you, because they do not know the All Parent, nor me.
2. I told you these things, that when the time comes, you may remember I told you of them. I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go my way to my Parent who sent me, and none of you asks me, Where do you go? Because I said these things to you, sorrow fills your heart.
3. Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is expedient for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you. If I depart, I will send my Spirit to you. When the Spirit is come, the world will be reproved of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.
4. Of sin, because they do not believe on me. Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and you see me no more. Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
5. I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when the Spirit of Truth is come, she will guide you into all truth. The same will show you things to come, and will glorify me, for the same will receive of me, and show it to you.
6. All things my Parent has are mine, therefore I said the Comforter will take of mine, and show it to you. A little while, and you will not see me. A little while again, and you will see me, because I go to the All-Parent. Then some of His disciples said among themselves: What is that He said to us; A little while, and you will not see me. A little while again, and you will see me, because I go to the All-Parent?
7. Yahushua knew they were desirous to ask Him, and said to them: Do you ask among yourselves of what I said: A little while, and you will see me? Verily, verily, I say to you, You will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
8. When she is in travail a woman has sorrow, because her hour is come. But as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembers the anguish no more, for joy that a man is born into the world. Now you have sorrow, but I will see you again. Your heart will rejoice, and no man takes your joy from you.
9. In that day you will ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say to you, Whatsoever you ask my Parent in my Name, you will receive. So far you have asked nothing in my Name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. These things I speak to you in proverbs. The time comes, when I will not speak to you in a mystery, but I will show you plainly of the All-Parent.
10. At that day you will ask in my Name, and I do not say to you, I will pray to my Parent for you. The All-Parent loves you in truth, because you love me, and believe I came out from Yahwah. I came forth from Yahwah, and am come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to Yahwah.
11. His disciples said to Him: Lo, now you speak plainly, and speak no mystery. Now we are sure you know all things, and do not need any man to ask you. By this we believe you came forth from Yahwah.
12. Yahushua answered them: Do you now believe? Behold, the hour comes, yea, is now come, that you will be scattered, every man to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
13. These things I speak to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I overcame the world. Arise, let us go from here.
Chapter 75
The Love Supper
1. At evening the Master came into the house, and there were gathered with Him the Twelve, and their fellows: Kepha, Yaaqob, Thomas, Yahchanan, Simon, Matthew, Andrew, Nathanayah, James, Thaddeus, Yahudah [Jude], Philip, and their companions (and there was also Judas Iscariot, who was numbered with the twelve by men, till the time when he was made known).
2. They were all clad in garments of white linen, pure and clear (for linen is the righteousness of the saints), and each had the color of his tribe. The Master was clad in his pure white robe, over all, without seam or spot.
3. There arose contention among them as to which of them should be considered the greatest, so He said to them: He that is greatest among you, let him be as he that serves.
4. Yahushua said: With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer, to institute the Memorial of my Oblation for the service and salvation of all. Behold, the hour comes when the Son of man will be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
5. One of the twelve said to Him: Master, is it I? And He answered: He to whom I give the sop, the same is he.
6. Iscariot said to Him: Master, behold the unleaven bread, the mingled wine, the oil, and the herbs, but where is the lamb Moshe commanded? (Judas bought the lamb, but Yahushua did not allow it to be killed.)
7. Yahchanan spoke in the Spirit, saying: Behold the Lamb of Yahwah, the good Shepherd who gives His life for the sheep. Judas was troubled at these words, for he knew he would betray Him. But again Judas said: Master, is it not written in the law that a lamb must be killed within the gates for the passover?
8. Yahushua answered: If I am lifted up on the stake, then the lamb will be dead indeed. But woe to him by whom it is delivered into the hands of the killers, it were better for him if he had not been born.
9. Verily I say to you, To this end I came into the world, that I may put away all blood offerings, and the eating of the flesh of the beasts, and the birds, that are killed by men.
10. In the beginning, Yahwah gave the fruits of the trees, the seeds, and the herbs, for food to all. But those who love themselves (more than Yahwah or their fellows) corrupted their ways, brought diseases into their bodies, and filled the earth with lust and violence.
11. You find the peace of Yahwah not by shedding innocent blood, but by living a righteous life. You call me the Messiah of Yahwah, and you say well, for I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
12. Walk in The Way, and you will find Yahwah. Seek the Truth, and the Truth will make you free. Live in the Life, and you will not see death. All things are alive in Yahwah. The Spirit of Yahwah fills all things.
13. Keep the commandments [of Moshe]. Love Yahwah with all your heart. Love your neighbor as yourself. On these hang all the law and the prophets. The sum of the law is this, Do not do to others, as you do not want others to do to you. Do to others, as you want others to do to you.
14. Blessed are those who keep this law, for Yahwah is manifested in all creatures. All creatures live in Yahwah, and Yahwah is hid in them.
15. After these things, Yahushua dipped the sop, and gave it to Judas Iscariot, saying: What you do, do quickly. Having received the sop, he went out immediately, and it was light.
16. When Judas Iscariot went out, Yahushua said: Now the Son of man is glorified among His twelve, and Yahwah is glorified in Him. Verily I say to you, those who receive you receive me, and those who receive me receive the Father-Mother who sent me. You who were faithful to the truth will sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Yisrayah.
17. One said to Him: Master, will you restore the kingdom to Yisrayah at this time? Yahushua said: My kingdom is not of this world, nor are all Yisrayah who are called Yisrayah.
18. Those in every nation who do not defile themselves with cruelty, who do righteousness, love mercy, and reverence all the works of Yahwah, who give succour to all that are weak and oppressed, the same are the Yisrayah of Yahwah.
Chapter 76
The Washing Of Feet
New Commandment
The Eucharistic Oblation
1. The Supper was ended, and the lights were kindled, for it was evening. Yahushua arose from the table, laid aside his garment, clothed Himself with a towel, poured water into a basin, washed the feet of each of the fourfold Twelve, and wiped them with the towel He was clothed with.
2. One of them said: Master, you will not wash my feet. Yahushua said: If I do not wash you, you have no part with me. So he answered: Master, do not wash my feet only, but my head and my hands.
3. He said to him: Those who come out of the bath, need not but to wash their feet, and they are clean every bit.
4. Putting on the overgarment of pure white linen without spot or seam, He sat at the table, and said to them: Do you know what I did to you? You call me Savior and Master. If your Savior and Master washed your feet, you ought also to wash one another's feet. I gave this example, that as I do to you, so also you should do to others.
5. I give a new commandment to you, Love one another, and all the creatures of Yahwah. Love is the fulfilling of the law. Love is of Yahwah, and Yahwah is Love. Whoso does not love, does not know Yahwah.
6. Now you are clean through the Word I spoke to you. By this all men know you are my disciples: if you have love one to another, and show mercy and love to all creatures of Yahwah, especially to those who are weak, oppressed, and suffer wrong. The whole earth is filled with dark places of cruelty, with pain and sorrow, by the selfishness and ignorance of man.
7. I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you. Give them light for their darkness, let the spirit of love dwell within your hearts, and abound to all. Again I say to you, Love one another, and all the creation of Yahwah. When He finished, they said: Blessed is Yahwah.
8. He lifted up His voice, and they joined Him, saying: As the hart pants after the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, O Yahwah. When they ended, one brought to Him a censer full of live coals, and He cast frankincense on it (even the frankincense His mother gave Him in the day of His manifestation), and the sweetness of the odor filled the room.
9. Yahushua placed the platter before Him, and the chalice behind it. Lifting up His eyes to heaven, He gave thanks for the goodness of Yahwah in all things, and to all. After that He took the unleavened bread in His hands, and blessed it. The wine likewise, mingled with water, and blessed it. Chanting the Invocation of the sacred Name the Sevenfold, calling upon the thrice sacred Father-Mother in Heaven to send down Yahwah's Spirit to make the bread to be His body, even the Body of the Messiah, and the fruit of the vine to be His Blood, even the Blood of the Messiah, for the remission of sins and everlasting life to all who obey the gospel.
10. Lifting up the Oblation towards heaven, He said: The Son who is also the Daughter of man is lifted up from the earth. I draw all men to me, then it will be known of the people that I am sent from Yahwah.
11. These things being done, Yahushua spoke these words, lifting His eyes to heaven: Abba Amma [Father Mother], the hour is come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may be glorified in you.
12. Yea, you glorified me, you filled my heart with fire, you set lamps on my right hand, and on my left, so that no part of my being should be without light. Your Love shines on my right hand, and your Wisdom on my left. Your Love, your Wisdom, and your Power, are made known in me.
13. I glorified you on earth, I finished the work you gave me to do. Sacred One, keep the Twelve and their fellows whom you gave me through your Name, that they may be One, even as we are One. While I was with them in the world I kept them in your Name, and none of them is lost, for he who went out from us was not of us, nevertheless, I pray for him that he may be restored. Father-Mother, forgive him, for he does not know what he does.
14. I come to you. I speak these things in the world that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I give them your Word, and the world has them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15. I do not pray that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from evil while yet in the world. Sanctify them through your truth. Your word is Truth. As you sent me into the world, so also I send them into the world. I sanctify myself for their sakes, that they may be sanctified through the Truth.
16. I do not pray for these alone, but for all who will be added to their number, and for the Two and Seventy whom I sent forth. Yea, and for all who believe in the Truth through your Word, that they may be one as you most sacred are in me, and I in you, that they may be one in you, that the world may know you sent me.
17. Sacred Parent, I will that those whom you gave me, yea all who live, be with me where I am, that they may partake of my glory you give me, for you love me in all, and all in me, from before the foundations of the world.
18. The world did not know you in your righteousness, but I know you, and these know you sent me.
19. I declared your Name to them that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and that from them it may abound, even to all your creatures, yea, even to all. These words being ended, they all lifted up their voices with Him, and prayed as He taught them, saying:
20. Our Father-Mother Who are above and within. Hallowed be your sacred Name, in Biune Trinity. In Wisdom, Love, and Equity, your Kingdom come to all. Your sacred will be done always, as in Heaven, so on Earth. Give us day by day to partake of your sacred Bread, and the fruit of your living Vine. As we seek to perfect others, so perfect us in your Messiah. Show upon us your goodness, that we may show the same to others. In the hour of trial, deliver us from evil.
21. You are the Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory. From the ages of ages, now, and to the ages of ages [was, is, will be]. Amein.
22. Then our Master took the sacred Bread, broke it, the Fruit of the Vine also, and mingled it. After blessing and hallowing both, He cast a fragment of the Bread into the Cup, and blessed the sacred Union.
23. He gave the bread He hallowed to His disciples, saying: Eat, for this is my Body, even the Body of the Messiah, which is given for the Salvation of the body and the soul.
24. Likewise He gave to them the fruit of the Vine which He blessed, saying to them: Drink, for this is my Blood, even the Blood of the Messiah which is shed for you and for many, for the Salvation of the Soul and the Body.
25. When all had partaken, He said to them: As often as you assemble together in my Name, make this Oblation for a Memorial of me, even the Bread of everlasting life, and the Wine of eternal salvation. Eat and drink it with pure heart, and you will receive of the Substance and the Life of Yahwah, which dwells in me.
26. They sang a hymn. Yahushua stood up in the middle of His apostles, and going to Him who was their Center, as in a solemn dance, they rejoiced in Him. He went out to the Mount of Olives, and His disciples followed Him.
27. Judas Iscariot went to the house of Caiaphas, and said to him: Behold. He celebrated the Passover within the gates, with the Mazza in place of the lamb. I bought a lamb indeed, but He did not allow it to be killed. Lo, the man of whom I bought it is witness.
28. Caiaphas tore his clothes, and said: Truly this is a Passover of the law of Moshe. He did the deed which is worthy of death, for it is a weighty transgression of the law. What need of further witness? Yea, even now two robbers broke into the Temple and stole the book of the law, this is the end of His teaching. Let us tell these things to the people who follow Him, for they will fear the authority of the law.
29. One who was standing by as Judas came out, said to him: Do you think they will put Him to death?
30. Judas said: No. He will do some mighty work to deliver Himself out of their hands, even as when they of the synagogue in Capernaum rose up against Him, and brought Him to the brow of the hill that they might throw Him down headlong. Did He not pass safely through their midst? He will surely escape them now also, proclaim Himself openly, and set up the Kingdom of which He spoke.
Chapter 77
The Agony In The Garden
1. As they went to the Mount of Olives, Yahushua said to them: All you will be offended because of me tonight. It is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered abroad [Zecharyah 13:7]. But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
2. Simon answered, and said to Him: Though all men will be offended because of you, yet I will never be offended. Yahshua said: Simon, Simon, behold, Satan desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I prayed for you that your faith not fail. When you are converted, strengthen your brothers.
3. He said to Him: Master, I am ready to go with you, both to prison and to death. Yahushua said: I tell you, Simon, the cock will not crow tonight, before you deny you know me three times.
4. Yahushua came with them, having crossed the brook Kedron, to the garden called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples: Sit here while I go and pray yonder. (Judas also, who betrayed Him, knew the place, for Yahushua oftentimes resorted there with His disciples.)
5. He said to them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even to death. You wait here, and watch with me.
6. He went a little farther, fell on His face, and prayed, saying: O my Father-Mother, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless not as I will, but as you will.
7. A malak appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. He came to the disciples, and finding them asleep, said to Kepha: What, could you not watch with me one hour?
8. Watch, pray that you not enter into temptation. The spirit is willing indeed, but the flesh is weak.
9. He went away again a second time, and prayed, saying: O my Father-Mother, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, your will be done.
10. Being in an agony He prayed more earnestly. His sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground.
11. He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
12. He left them, went away again, and prayed a third time, saying: O my Father-Mother, not my will, but yours be done, in earth as it is in heaven.
13. He came to His disciples, and said to them: Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going. Behold, he who betrays me is here.
Chapter 78
The Betrayal by Judas Iscariot
1. It came to pass while Yahushua yet spoke, behold, there came a multitude, and Judas that was called Iscariot went before them. Having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, Judas came there with lanterns, torches, and weapons.
2. Knowing all things that would come upon Him, Yahushua went forth, and said to them: Whom do you seek? They answered Him: Yahushua of Nazareth. Yahushua said to them: I AM.
3. As soon as He said to them: I AM; they went backward, and fell to the ground. When they arose, He asked them again: Whom do you seek? They said: Yahushua of Nazareth. Yahushua answered: I told you, I AM. If you seek me, let these go their way.
4. Now he who betrayed Him gave them a sign, saying: Whomsoever I kiss, the same is He, hold Him fast.
5. So he came to Yahushua, and said: Hail, Master; and kissed Him [Psalm 41:9]. Yahushua said to him: Friend, why are you come? Is it with a kiss that you betray the Son of man?
6. Yahushua said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and the elders, who were come to Him: Why do you come out as against a thief, with swords and staves? You stretched forth no hands against me when I was with you in the temple, daily. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
7. Then they came and laid hands on Yahushua. Simon Kepha stretched forth his hand, drew his sword, struck a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear.
8. Yahushua said to him: Put up your sword into its place, all those who take the sword will perish by the sword. Yahushua touched his ear, and healed him.
9. He said to Kepha: Do you think I cannot now pray to my Parent, and He will presently give me more than twelve legions of malaks? But how then will the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
10. Then all the disciples abandoned Him, and fled. Those who laid hands on Yahushua led Him away to Caiaphas, the high priest. But they brought Him to Annas first, because he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest for that same year.
11. Caiaphas was he who gave council to the Yahudim that it was expedient one man should die for the sins of the people.
12. The scribes and the elders were assembled together. Kepha, Yahchanan, Simon, and Jude, followed far off to the high priest's palace. They went in and sat with the servants to see the end.
13. They kindled a fire in the middle of the hall, and when they were set down together, Kepha sat down among them to warm himself.
14. A certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, looked upon him earnestly, and said: This man was also with him. So he denied Him, saying: Woman, I know do not Him.
15. After a little while, another saw him, and said: You are also of them. Simon said: Man, I am not.
16. About the space of one hour another confidently affirmed, saying: Of a truth this fellow was with Yahushua of Nazareth, for his speech betrays him.
17. Simon denied the third time with an oath, saying: I do not know the man. And immediately, while he yet spoke, the cock crowed.
18. Yahushua turned, and looked upon Simon. Simon remembered the word of Yahushua, how He said to him: Before the cock crows today you will deny me three times. Simon went out, and wept bitterly.
Chapter 79
The Hebrew Trial Before Caiaphas
1. The high priest asked Yahushua of His disciples, and of His doctrine, saying: How old are you? Are you He who said our father Abraham saw your day?
2. Yahushua answered: Verily, before Abraham was, I AM. The high priest said: You are not yet fifty years old. How do you say you saw Abraham? Who are you? Whom do you make yourself to be? What do you teach?
3. Yahushua answered him: I spoke openly to the world. I taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, where the Yahudim always resort. I said nothing in secret. Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard me, what I said to them. Behold, they know what I said.
4. When He had spoken, one of the officers who stood by struck Yahushua with the palm of his hand, saying: You answer the high priest so? Yahushua answered him: If I spoke evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why do you smite me?
5. The chief priests, elders, and all the council, sought false witnesses against Yahushua to put Him to death, but found none. Yea, many false witnesses came, yet they did not agree together.
6. At the last two false witnesses came. One of them said: This fellow said: I am able to destroy the temple of Yahwah, and to build it in three days. The other said: This man said I will destroy this temple, and build up another.
7. The high priests arose, and said to Him: You answer nothing? What is it these witnesses speak against you? But Yahushua held His peace. Now it was unlawful among the Hebrews to try a man by night.
8. They said to Him: Are you the Messiah? Tell us. He said to them: If I tell you, you will not believe. If I also ask you, you will not answer me, nor let me go.
9. They asked Him further, saying: Do you abolish the sacrifices of the law, and the eating of flesh as Moshe commanded? He answered: Behold, a greater than Moshe is here.
10. The high priest answered, and said to Him: I adjure you by the living God, tell us whether you are the Messiah, the Son of God. Yahushua said to him: You have said [meaning: yes]. I say to you, Hereafter you will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of Yahwah, coming in the clouds of Heaven.
11. The high priest tore his clothes, saying: He spoke blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you heard His blasphemy. What do you think? They answered, and said: He is worthy of death.
12. They spit in His face, and hit Him. Others slapped Him with the palms of their hands [Isaiah 50:6], saying: Prophesy to us, you Messiah, who is he that hit you?
13. When morning was come all the chief priests, the elders of the people, even the whole council, held a consultation, and took council against Yahushua to put Him to death.
14. They gave forth their sentence against Yahushua, that He was worthy of death, that He should be bound, carried away, and delivered to Pilate.
Chapter 80
The Penance Of Judas
1. Judas, who betrayed Him, repented himself when he saw that Yahshua was condemned. He brought the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying: I sinned in that I betrayed the innocent blood.
2. They said: What is that to us? See you to that. He cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, departed, went out, and hanged himself.
3. The chief priests took the pieces of silver, and said: It is not lawful to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
4. They took council, and bought the potter's field with them, to bury strangers in. So that field was called Aceldama (that is, the field of blood) to this day.
5. Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Zacharyah the prophet, saying: They weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver [Zechariah 11:12-13]. They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of Him who was valued, whom they of the children of Yisrayah did value, gave them for the potter's field, and cast them to the potter in the House of Yahwah.
6. Yahushua had said to His disciples: Woe to the man who receives the mysteries, and falls into sin afterwards.
7. For such there is no place of repentance in this cycle, seeing they crucified afresh the Divine Offspring of Yahwah and man, and put the Messiah within them to an open shame.
8. Such are worse than the beasts, whom you ignorantly affirm to perish, for in your Scriptures it is written, That which befalls the beast befalls the sons of men.
9. All live by one breath, as the one dies, so the other dies. A man has no preeminence over a beast, for all go to the same place. All come from the dust, and return to the dust together.
10. Yahushua spoke these things concerning those who were not regenerate, having not received the Spirit of Divine Love. They once received the Light, then crucified the Son of Yahwah afresh, putting Him to an open shame.
Chapter 81
The Roman Trial Before Pilate
1. They led Yahushua from Caiaphas to the hall of judgment, to Pontius Pilate, the Governor. It was early, and they themselves did not go into the judgment hall, unless they should be defiled, so they might keep the feast.
2. Pilate therefore went out to them, and said: What accusation do you bring against this man? They answered, and said to him: If He were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered Him up to you. We have a law. By our law He ought to die, because He would change the customs and rites Moshe delivered to us. Yea, He made Himself the Son of Adonai.
3. Pilate said to them: You take Him, judge Him according to your law. For he knew they delivered Him for envy.
4. The Yahudim said to him: It is not lawful for us to put any man to death. So the saying of Yahushua was fulfilled, which He spoke, signifying what death He should die.
5. They accused Him further, saying: We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that He Himself is Messiah, a King.
6. Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, called Yahushua, and said to Him: Are you the King of the Yahudim? Yahushua answered him: Do you say this thing of yourself, or did others tell it to you of me?
7. Pilate answered: Am I a Yahudi? Your own nation, the chief priests, delivered you to me. What did you do? Yahushua answered: My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight, that I would not be delivered to the Yahudim. But now my kingdom is not from here.
8. Pilate said to Him: Are you a King, then? Yahushua answered: You say I am. Yes, I am a King. To this end I was born, and for this reason I came to the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.
9. Pilate said to Him: What is truth? Yahushua said: Truth is from heaven. Pilate said: Then truth is not on earth. Yahushua said to Pilate: Believe, truth is on earth among those who receive and obey it. Those who judge righteously are of the truth.
10. When he heard this, he went out again to the Yahudim, and said to them: I find no fault in Him at all. When He was accused of the chief priests and elders He answered them nothing.
11. Pilate said to Him: Do you not hear how many things they witness against you?
12. He answered him never a word, insomuch that the governor marveled greatly [Isaiah 53:7]. He said to them again, I find no fault in this man.
13. They grew the more fierce, saying: He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place. When Pilate heard of Galilee he asked whether the man were a Galilean.
14. As soon as he knew He belonged to Herod's jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who himself was also at Yerusalem at the time.
15. Herod was exceedingly glad when saw Yahushua, for he was desirous to see Him of a long season, because he heard many things of Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him.
16. He questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing. The chief priests and scribes stood and accused Him vehemently. Many false witnesses rose up against Him, and laid to His charge things that He did not know.
17. Herod, with his men of war, set Him at nought, mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him to Pilate again. And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together, for before they were at enmity between themselves.
18. Pilate went again into the Judgment Hall, and said to Yahushua: Who are you? But Yahushua gave him no answer. Then Pilate said to Him: Do you not speak to me? Do you not know I have power to crucify you, and have power to release you?
19. Yahushua answered: You could have no power at all against me, except it were given you from above, therefore he who delivered me to you has the greater sin.
20. From then on Pilate sought to release Him, but the Yahudim cried out, saying: If you let this man go you are not Caesar's friend, whosoever makes himself a king speaks against Caesar.
21. Pilate called together the chief priests and rulers of the people. When he was set down on the judgment seat his wife sent to him, saying: Have nothing to do with that just man, for I suffered many things today in a dream, because of Him.
22. Pilate said to them: You brought this man to me, as one who perverts the people. Behold, I examined Him before you, and found no fault in this man touching those things of which you accuse Him. No, nor yet Herod, for I sent you to him. Lo, nothing worthy of death was found in Him.
23. You have a custom that I should release to you one at the Passover, will you therefore that I release to you the King of the Yahudim?
24. They all cried again, saying: Not this man, but Barabbas. Barabbas was a robber, cast into prison for sedition made in the city, and for murder.
25. Willing to release Yahushua, Pilate spoke to them again: Which of the two do you want me to release to you. Barabbas, or Yahushua who is called the Messiah? They said: Barabbas.
26. Pilate said to them: What will I do with Yahushua who is called the Messiah? They all said to him: Let Him be crucified.
27. The Governor said: Why, what evil has He done? But they cried out all the more, saying: Crucify Him, crucify Him.
28. Pilate went forth again, and said to Him: Behold, again, I bring Him forth to you, that you may know I find no fault in Him. They cried out again: Crucify Him, crucify Him.
29. Pilate said to them, the third time: Why, what evil has He done? I found no cause of death in Him. I will chastise Him, and let Him go.
30. They were insistant with loud voices, requiring that He must be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed.
31. Pilate saw he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made. He took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying: I am innocent of the blood of this just person. You see to it.
32. All the people answered, and said: His blood is on us, and on our children. Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. He delivered Yahushua to their will.
Chapter 82
The Crucifixion
1. He released Barabbas to them, scourged Yahushua, and delivered Him to be crucified. The soldiers of the governor took Yahushua to the common hall, and gathered the whole band of soldiers to Him.
2. They stripped Him, and put a purple robe on Him. They plaited a crown of thorns, put it upon His head, and a reed in His right hand. They bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying: Hail, King of the Yahudim!
3. Yahushua came forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. Pilate said to them: Behold, the man!
4. When the chief priests and officers saw Him, they cried out, saying: Crucify Him, crucify Him. Pilate said to them: You take Him, and crucify Him, for I find no fault in Him.
5. They spit upon Him, took the reed, and smote Him on the head. After they mocked Him they took the robe off from Him, put His own garment on Him, and led Him away to crucify Him.
6. As they led Him away they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the county. They laid on him the cross beam, that he might bear it after Yahushua. A great company of people and of women followed Him, who bewailed and lamented Him.
7. Turning to them, Yahushua said: Daughters of Yerusalem, do not weep for me, weep for yourselves, and for your children. Behold, the days are coming in which they will say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the paps which never gave suck.
8. They will begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us. And to the hills: Cover us. If they do these things in a green tree, what will be done in the dry?
9. There were two other malefactors also led with Him to be put to death. When they were come to a place called Calvary, and Golgotha (that is to say, a place of a skull), they crucified Him there. And the malefactors, one on the right hand, the other on the left.
10. It was the third hour when they crucified Him, and they gave Him vinegar to drink mingled with gall [Psalm 69:21]. When He tasted it, He would not drink. Yahushua said: Abba Amma, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.
11. When they had crucified Yahushua, the soldiers took His clothes and made four parts, a part to every soldier; and His vesture also. Now the vesture was without seam, woven from the top throughout. They said among themselves: Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it will be.
12. So the scripture was fulfilled, which said: They parted my clothes among them, and for my vesture they did cast lots [Psalm 22:18]. These things the soldiers did. And sitting down they watched Him.
13. A superscription was written over Him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: This is the King of the Yahudim.
14. Many of the Yahudim read this title, for the place where Yahushua was crucified was near to the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. The chief priests of the Yahudim said to Pilate: Do not write; The King of the Yahudim. But: He said I am the King of the Yahudim. Pilate answered: What I wrote, I wrote.
15. One of the malefactors who were hanged [Isaiah 53:9, 12] railed on Him, saying: If you are the Messiah, save yourself, and us. Answering, the other rebuked him, saying: Do you not fear Adonai, seeing you are in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.
16. He said to Yahushua: Master, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Yahushua said to him: Verily I say to you, Today you will be with me in Paradise.
17. Those who passed by reviled Him, wagging their heads, and saying: You who would destroy the temple, and build it in three days, save yourself. If you are the Son of Adonai, come down from the stake.
18. Likewise also the chief priests mocked Him, while the scribes and elders said: He saved a lamb, He cannot save Himself. If He is the King of Yisrayah, let Him come down from the stake now, and we will believe Him. He trusted in Adonai, let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him, for He said: I am the Son of Adonai [Psalm 22:7-8].
19. The usurers, and the dealers in beasts and birds, also cast the like things into His teeth, saying: You who drive the traders in oxen, sheep, and doves from the temple, are yourself but a sheep that is sacrificed.
20. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land to the ninth hour. Some standing around lighted their torches, for the darkness was very great. About the sixth hour Yahushua cried with a loud voice: Eli, Eli, lame sabachthani? That is to say, Anu, Anu, why have you forsaken me? [Psalm 22:1]
21. Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said: This man calls for Eliyah. Others said: He calls on the Sun. The rest said: Let be, let us see whether Eliyah will come to save Him.
22. There stood by the stake of Yahushua His mother, His mother's sister, Miriam the wife of Cleophas, and Miriam Magdalene.
23. Yahushua saw His mother, and the disciple standing by whom He loved [Miriam Magdalene]. He said to His mother: Woman, behold your son! He said to the disciple: Behold your mother! From that hour that disciple took her into his own home.
24. After this, knowing all things were now accomplished that the scripture might be fulfilled, Yahushua said: I am thirsty. They filled a sponge with vinegar from a vessel, put it upon hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
25. Yahushua cried with a loud voice, saying: Abba Amma, into your hand I commend my spirit.
26. When Yahushua received the vinegar, He cried aloud: It is finished. He bowed His head, and gave up the spirit. It was the ninth hour.
27. Behold, there was great thunder and lightning. The partition wall of the sacred place, from which the veil hung, fell down and was broken in half. The earth quaked, and the rocks were broken.
28. When the centurion, and those who were with him watching Yahushua, saw the earthquake and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying: Truly, this was the Son of Adonai.
29. Many women were there, who followed from Galilee, ministering to them, and among them were Miriam the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's children. They lamented, saying: The Light of the world is hid from our eyes, Yahushua our Love is crucified.
30. It was the preparation, so the bodies could not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath, for that was a Paschal Sabbath. The Yahudim begged Pilate that their legs might be broken [so they would die sooner,] so they might be taken away.
31. The soldiers came and broke the legs of the two who were crucified with Him. But when they came to Yahushua, and saw that He was dead already, they did not break His legs. But one of the soldiers pierced His heart with a spear, and there came out blood and water [Zecharyah 12:10].
32. He who saw it bore record, and his record is true. He knew he said true, that you might believe. These things were done that the Scriptures might be fulfilled: A bone of him will not be broken. And again: In the middle of the week [Wednesday, the fourth day] the Messiah will be cut off [Daniel 9:25-27].
Chapter 83
The Burial Of Yahushua
1. When the evening was come, Yahusef of Arimathea, an honorable councillor, who also waited for the Kingdom of Yahwah, came, went in boldly to Pilate, and asked for the body of Yahushua. (He was a good man and just, and did not consent to the council and deed of them).
2. Pilate marvelled if he were already dead. Calling the centurion to him, he asked him whether he was dead. When he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Yahusef. He came, and took the body of Yahushua.
3. Nicodemus also came (who at the first came to Yahushua by night) and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred weight. They took the body of Yahushua, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Yahudim is to bury.
4. In the place where He was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new sepulchre, where no man ever laid. There they laid Yahushua. It was about the beginning of the second watch when they buried Him, because of the preparation day, for the sepulchre was near at hand.
5. Miriam Magdalene, the other Miriam, and Miriam the mother of Joses, saw where He was laid. They kept watch there at the tomb for three days and three nights.
6. The women who came with Him from Galilee followed after, bearing lamps in their hands, beheld the sepulchre, how His body was laid, and they made lamentation over Him.
7. They returned and rested the next day, being a high day. On the following day they bought and prepared spices and ointments, and waited for the end of the Sabbath.
8. The next day that followed, the chief priests and Pharisees came together to Pilate, saying: Sir, we remember while He was yet alive the deceiver said: After three days I will rise again.
9. Command that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day is past, unless His disciples come by night, steal Him away, and say to the people: He is risen from the dead. So the last error will be worse than the first.
10. Pilate said to them: You have a watch, go your way, make it as sure as you can. So they went, made the sepulchre sure, sealed the stone, and set a watch till the third day should be past.
Chapter 84
The Resurrection Of Yahushua
1. After the Sabbath was ended, and it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Miriam Magdalene came to the sepulchre, bearing the spices she had prepared, and there were others with her.
2. As they were going they said among themselves: Who will roll away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? For it was great. When they came to the place and looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away.
3. Behold, there was a great earthquake. The malak of Yahwah descended from heaven, rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lighting, and his garment white as snow. For fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
4. The malak answered, and said to the women: Do not fear. I know you seek Yahushua, who was crucified. He is not here. He is risen, as He said.
5. Come, see the place where Yahushua lay. Go quickly, tell His disciples He is risen from the dead [Psalm 16:10-11]. Behold, He goes before you into Galilee, there you will see Him. Lo, I have told you.
6. They entered in and did not find the body of Yahushua. Then she ran, came to Simon Kepha, and said: They took Yahushua away out of the sepulchre, and we do not know where they laid Him.
7. They ran, came to the scpulchre, and looking in, they saw the linen clothes lying. The napkin that was about His head was not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped up in a place by itself.
8. It came to pass as they were much perplexed, behold, two malaks stood by them in glistening garments of white, and said to them: Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, He is risen. Behold, He goes before you into Galilee, there you will see Him.
9. Remember how He spoke to you, when He was yet in Galilee, that the Son of Man should be crucified, and that He would rise again after the third day? Then they remembered His words. They went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre, for they trembled with amazement, and they were afraid.
10. The graves were opened at the time of the earthquake. Many of the saints who slept arose, came out of the graves after His resurrection, went into the city, and appeared to many.
11. Miriam stood outside the sepulchre, weeping. As she wept she stooped down, looked into the sepulchre again, and saw two malaks in white garments, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Yahushua had lain. They said to her: Woman, why do you weep?
12. She said to them: Because they took away my Master, and I do not know where they laid Him. When she said that, she turned herself back, saw Yahushua standing, and did not know it was Yahushua.
13. Yahushua said to her: Woman, why do you weep? Whom do you seek? Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him: Sir, if you bore Him away, tell me where you laid Him, and I will take Him away. Yahushua said to her: Miriam. She turned herself, and said to Him: Rabboni (which is to say, Teacher)!
14. Yahushua said to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father, or One with my Mother. Go to my brothers, and say to them: I ascend to my Parent and your Parent, to my Father and your Father.
15. Miriam Magdalene came and told the disciples she saw Yahushua, that He spoke these things to her, and commanded her to announce His resurrection from the dead. [Psalm 16:10-11]
Chapter 85
Yahushua Risen Again Appears To Two At Emmaus
1. Behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was about threescore furlongs from Yerusalem. They talked together of all these things which happened.
2. It came to pass, while they communed together and reasoned, Yahushua Himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were held that they should not know Him.
3. He said to them: What manner of words are these that you have one with another, as you walk and are sad?
4. One of them, whose name was Cleophas, answered and said to Him: Are you the only stranger in Yerusalem, and do not know the things which are come to pass there in these days? He said to them: What things?
5. They said to Him: Concerning Yahushua of Nazareth who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before Yahwah and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. We trusted it was He who should redeem Yisrayah. Three days have passed since these things were done.
6. Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, who were at the sepulchre early. When they did not find His body, they came, saying they saw a vision of gods, who said He was alive.
7. Certain of those who were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women said, but they did not see Him.
8. He said to them: O fools, slow of heart to believe all the prophets spoke. Ought Messiah not to have suffered these things, and then to enter into His glory?
9. Beginning at Moshe and all the prophets, He expounded to them in all the scriptures, the things concerning Himself.
10. They drew near to the village where they went. He made as though He would go further. But they constrained Him, saying: Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. He went in to tarry with them.
11. It came to pass as He sat at table with them, He took bread, and the fruit of the vine. He gave thanks, blessed, broke, and gave to them. Their eyes were opened, they knew Him, and He vanished out of their sight.
12. They said one to another: Did our hearts not burn within us while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened the scriptures to us? They rose up the same hour, returned to Yerusalem, found the twelve gathered together, and those who were with them, saying: Yahushua is risen indeed, and appeared to Simon.
13. They told what things were done in the way, and how He was known of them in breaking of bread.
14. While they were going to Emmaus, some of the watch came into the city, and showed to Caiaphas what things were done.
15. They assembled with the elders, took council, and said: Behold, while the soldiers slept, some of His disciples came and took His body away. Is Yahusef of Arimathea not one of His disciples?
16. For this reason he begged the body from Pilate, that he might bury it in his garden in his own tomb. Let us give money to the soldiers, saying: Say His disciples came by night, and stole Him away while we slept. If this comes to the ears of the governor we will persuade him, and secure you.
Chapter 86
Yahushua Appears In The Temple and Blood Sacrifices Cease
1. The same day, at the time of sacrifice in the Temple, One appeared clothed in white garments, bright as light, among the dealers in beasts and in birds, and in His hand a whip of seven cords.
2. At the sight of Him, those who sold and bought fled in terror, and some of them fell as dead men, for they remembered how Yahushua had driven them away from the Temple enclosure before His death, in like manner.
3. Some declared they saw a spirit. Others that they saw Him who was crucified, that He was risen from the dead.
4. The sacrifices ceased in the Temple that day, for all were in fear, and none could be had to sell or to buy. But rather, they let their captives go free.
5. The priests and elders caused a report to be spread, that those who saw it were drunken, and saw nothing. But many affirmed they did see Him with their own eyes, and felt the scourge on their backs, but were powerless to resist. For when some of the bolder among them put forth their hands, they could not seize the form they saw, nor grasp the whip which chastised them.
6. From that time, these believed Yahushua was sent from Yahwah, to deliver the oppressed, and free those who were bound. They turned from their ways, and sinned no longer.
7. To others He appeared in love and mercy, healed them by His touch, and delivered them from the hands of the persecutor. Many like things were reported of Him, and many said: Of a truth the Kingdom is come.
8. Some of those who had slept, and rose when Yahushua rose from the dead, appeared and were seen by many in the sacred City. Great fear fell upon the wicked, but light and gladness came to the righteous in heart.
Chapter 87
Yahushua Appears To His Disciples
1. At evening the same day, being the first day of the week, for fear of the Yahudim the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled. Yahushua came, stood in the middle, and said to them: Peace be to you. They were frightened, and supposed they saw a spirit.
2. He said to them: Behold, it is I myself, like as you saw me before. A spirit can indeed appear in flesh and bones as you see me have. Behold my hands, and my feet, handle and see.
3. When He so said, He showed to them His hands and His Heart. Then the disciples were glad, when they saw Yahushua.
4. Thomas, called Didymus [Twin], one of the disciples, had said to them: Except I see the print of the nails in His hands, and thrust my hand into His heart, I will not believe. He said to Thomas: Behold my hands, my heart, and my feet. Reach your hands here, do not be faithless, but believing.
5. Thomas answered, and said to Him: My King, Yahwah! Yahushua said to him: Thomas, because you see me, you believe. Blessed are those who do not see, and yet believe.
6. Yahushua said to them again: Peace be to you, as Abba Amma has sent me, even so I send you. When He had said this He breathed on them, and said to them: Receive the sacred Spirit. Preach the Gospel, and anounce to all nations the resurrection of the Son of Man.
7. Teach the sacred law of love I delivered to you. Whosoever forsakes their sins, they are remitted to them. Whosoever continues in their sins, they are retained to them.
8. Baptise those who believe and repent, bless and anoint them. Offer the pure Oblation of the fruits of the earth, which I appointed to you for a Memorial of me.
9. Lo, I gave my body and my blood to be offered on the stake, for the redemption of the world from the sin against love, and from the bloody sacrifices and feasts of the past.
10. You will offer the Bread of life, and the Wine of salvation, for a pure Oblation with incense, as it is written of me. You will eat and drink it for a memorial, that I delivered all who believe in me from the ancient bondage of your ancestors.
11. Making a god of their belly, they sacrificed the innocent creatures of the earth to their god, in place of the carnal nature within themselves.
12. Eating their flesh and drinking their blood to their own destruction, they corrupted their bodies and shortened their days, even as the Gentiles who do not know the truth, or who knowing it have changed it into a lie.
13. I send you to do these things in my Name, so you send others also. Then He laid His hands upon them.
14. In the like manner as the Apostles, so also He ordained Prophets, Evangelists, and Pastors, a sacred Priesthood. Afterwards He laid His hand upon those whom they chose for Deacons, one for each of the fourfold twelve.
15. These are for the rule and guidance of the congregation Universal, that all may be perfected in their places in the Unity of the Body of the Messiah.
Chapter 88
The Eighth Day After The Resurrection
1. After seven days again, His disciples were within the Upper Room. The doors being shut, Yahushua came, stood in their middle, and said: Peace be to you. He was known to them in the sacred Memorial.
2. He said to them: Love one another, and all the creatures of Yahwah. I say to you, not all are men who are in the form of man. Are they men or women in the image of Yahwah whose ways are ways of violence, of oppression and wrong, who choose a lie rather than the truth?
3. No, verily, not till they are born again, and receive the Spirit of Love and Wisdom within their hearts. Then only are they sons and daughters of Yisrayah, and being of Yisrayah they are children of Yahwah. For this reason I came into the world, and for this I suffered at the hands of sinners.
4. These are the words I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moshe, in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
5. Yahushua said: I stood in the midst of the world, and in the flesh I was seen and heard. I found all men glutted with their own pleasures, and drunk with their own follies. I found none hungry or thirsty for the Wisdom which is of Yahwah. My soul grieves over the sons and daughters of men, because they are blind in their heart. They are deaf in their soul, and do not hear my voice.
6. He opened their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures. He said to them: Thus it is written, thus it behooved the Messiah to suffer, and to rise from the dead after the third day. Repentance and remission of sins should be preached in my Name among all nations, beginning at Yerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.
7. Behold, I send the promise of my Parent upon you, even of my Father, One with my Mother, whom you have not seen on the earth. I say to you of a truth, as the whole world was ruined by the sin and vanity of woman, so by the simplicity and truth of woman it will be saved, even by you it will be saved.
8. Rejoice and be glad, for you are more blessed than all who are on earth. It is you, my twelve thousand, who will save the whole world.
9. Again I say to you, When the great tyrant and all the seven tyrants began to fight in vain against the Light, they did not know with Whom or What they fought.
10. They saw nothing beyond a dazzling Light. When they fought they expended their strength one against another, and so it is.
11. For this reason I took a fourth part of their strength, so they might not have such power, and prevail in their evil deeds.
12. By involution and evolution the salvation of all the world will be accomplished, by the Descent of Spirit into matter, and the Ascent of matter into Spirit, through the ages.
Chapter 89
Yahushua Appears At The Sea Of Tiberias
1. After these things Yahushua showed Himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself. There were together Simon, Kepha, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanayah of Cana in Galilee, James, Yahchanan, and two other of His disciples.
2. Kepha said to them: I go a-fishing [!!]. They say to him: We go with you also [!]. They went forth, entered into a ship immediately, and that night they caught nothing. When morning came, Yahushua stood on the shore, but the disciples did not know it was Yahushua.
3. Yahushua said to them: Children, have you any meat? They answered Him: No, Master, not enough for all. There is nothing but a small loaf, a little oil, and a few dried fruits. He said to them: Let these suffice, come and dine.
4. He blessed them, they ate, and were filled. There was a pitcher of water also. He blessed it likewise, and lo, it was the fruit of the vine.
5. They marvelled, and said: It is Yahushua. None of the disciples dared ask Him: Who are you? Knowing it was Yahushua.
6. This is now the sixth time Yahushua showed Himself to His disciples, after He was risen from the dead. So when they had dined, Yahushua said to Kepha, son of Yonah: Do you love me more than these? He said to Him: Yea, Master, you know I love you. He said to him: Feed my lambs. He said to him again the second time: Kepha, son of Yonah, do you love me? He said to Him: Yea, Master you know I love you. He said to him: Feed my sheep.
7. He said to him the third time: Kepha, son of Yonah. Do you love me? Kepha was grieved because He said to him the third time: Do you love me? He said to Him: Master, you know all things, you know I love you.
8. Yahushua said to him: Feed my Flock. Verily verily, I say to you, you are a rock from the Rock. On this Rock I will build my congregation. I will raise you above my twelve to be my vice-regent upon earth for a center of Unity to the twelve. Another will be called and chosen to fill your place among the twelve. You will be the Servant of servants. Feed my rams, my sheep, and my lambs.
9. Yet another will arise [Saul/Paul], he will teach many things I taught you already, and he will spread the Gospel among the Gentiles with great zeal. But the keys of the Kingdom I will give to those who succeed you in my Spirit, and obeying my law.
10. Again I say to you, When you were young you clothed yourself, and walked where you would. But when you are old, you will stretch forth your hands, another will clothe you, and carry you where you would not. This He spoke, signifying by what death he should glorify Yahwah.
11. When He spoke this He said to him: Follow me. Turning about, Kepha saw the disciple following whom Yahushua loved. Seeing him, Kepha said to Yahushua: Master, what will this one do? Yahushua said to him: If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you? Follow me.
12. The saying went abroad among the brothers that disciple should not die. Yet Yahushua did not say to him: He will not die. But: If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to you.
Chapter 90
What Is Truth?
1. The twelve were gathered together in the Circle of palm trees, and one of them (Thomas) said to the other: What is Truth? The same things appear different to different minds, and even to the same mind at different times. What, then, is Truth?
2. As they were speaking Yahushua appeared in their midst, and said: Truth, one and absolute, is in Yahwah alone. No man, nor any body of men, knows what Yahwah alone knows, who is the All in All. Truth is revealed to men according to their capacity to understand and receive.
3. The One Truth has many sides. One sees one side only, another sees another, and some see more than others, according as it is given to them.
4. Behold this crystal. The one light is manifest in twelve faces, yea four times twelve, and each face reflects one ray of light. One regards one face, and another another, but it is one crystal, and one light shines in all.
5. Behold again, When one climbs a mountain and attaining one height, he says; This is the top of the mountain, let us reach it. When they reach that height, lo, they see another beyond it, until they come to that height from which no other height is to be seen, if so be they can attain it.
6. So it is with Truth. I am the Truth, the Way, and the Life. I gave to you the Truth I received from above. That which is seen and received by one, is not seen and received by another. That which appears true to some, seems not true to others. Those who are in the valley do not see as those who are on the hilltop.
7. But to each, it is the Truth as the one mind sees it, and for that time, till a higher Truth will be revealed to the same. To the soul who receives higher light, more light will be given. Therefore do not condemn others, that you not be condemned.
8. As you keep the sacred Law of Love, which I gave to you, so will the Truth be revealed more and more to you. The Spirit of Truth which comes from above will guide you, although through many wanderings, into all Truth, even as the fiery cloud guided the children of Yisrayah through the wilderness.
9. Be faithful to the light you have, till a higher light is given to you. Seek more light, and you will have abundantly. Do not rest, till you find.
10. Yahwah gives you all Truth, as a ladder with many steps, for the salvation and perfection of the soul. The truth which seems today, you will abandon for the higher truth of the morrow. Press to Perfection.
11. Whoever keeps the sacred Law which I give, the same will save their souls, however differently they may see the truths which I gave.
12. Many will say to me: Master, Master, we were zealous for your Truth. But I will say to them: No. Others may see as you see, and no other truth beside. Faith without charity is dead. Love is the fulfilling of the Law.
13. How will faith in what they receive profit those who hold it in unrighteousness? Those who have love have all things, and without love there is nothing worth. Let each hold what they see to be the truth in love, knowing that where love is not, truth is a dead letter, and profits nothing.
14. There abide Goodness, Truth, and Beauty, but the greatest of these is Goodness. If any has hatred to their fellows, and harden their hearts to the creatures of Yahwah's hands, how can they see Truth to salvation, seeing their eyes are blinded and their hearts are hardened to Yahwah's creation?
15. As I received the Truth, so I gave it to you. Let each receive it according to their light, and ability to understand. Do not persecute those who receive it after a different interpretation.
16. Truth is the Might of Yahwah, it will prevail over all errors in the end. The sacred Law I gave is plain for all, just and good. Let all observe it for the salvation of their souls.
Chapter 91
The Order of the Kingdom (Part I)
1. In the time after Yahushua rose from the dead He tarried ninety days with Miriam His mother, Miriam Magdalene who anointed His body, Miriam Cleophas, the twelve, and their fellows, instructing them and answering questions concerning the kingdom of Yahwah.
2. When it was evening they sat at supper. Miriam Magdalene asked Him, saying: Master, will you declare to us the Order of the Kingdom?
3. Yahushua answered, and said: Verily I say to you, O Miriam, and to each of my disciples, The kingdom of Heaven is within you. But the time comes when that which is within will be made manifest in the without, for the sake of the world.
4. Order is good indeed, and needful, but before all things is love. Love one another, and all the creatures of Yahwah. All men will know by this that you are my disciples.
5. One asked Him, saying: Master, will you that infants be received into the congregation in like manner as Moshe commanded by circumcision? Yahushua answered: For those who are in Messiah there is no cutting of the flesh, nor shedding of blood.
6. Let the infant of eight days be Presented to the Father-Mother, who is in Heaven, with prayer and thanksgiving, and let a name be given to it by its parents. Let the presbyter sprinkle pure water upon it, according to that which is written in the prophets. Let its parents see to it that it is brought up in the ways of righteousness, neither eating flesh, nor drinking strong drink, nor hurting the creatures Yahwah gave into the hands of man to protect.
7. One said to Him: Master, how will you when they grow up? Yahushua said: After seven years, or when they begin to know the evil from the good, and learn to choose the good, let them come to me and receive the blessing at the hands of the presbyter or the malak of the congregation with prayer and thanksgiving. Let them be admonished to keep from eating flesh, from strong drink, and from hunting the innocent creatures of Yahwah. For will they be lower than the horse or the sheep to whom these things are against nature?
8. Again he said: If there come to us any who eat flesh and drink strong drink, will we receive them? Yahushua said to him: Let such abide in the outer court till they cleanse themselves from these grosser evils. Till they perceive, and repent of these, they are not fit to receive the higher mysteries.
9. Another asked Him, saying: When will you that they receive Baptism? Yahushua answered: After another seven years, or when they know the doctrine, do that which is good, learn to work with their own hands, choose a craft by which they may live, and are stedfastly set on the right way. Then let them ask for initiation. Let the malak or presbyter of the congregation examine them, and see if they are worthy. Let him offer thanksgiving and prayer, and bury them in the waters of separation, that they may rise to newness of life, confessing Yahwah as their Father and Mother, vowing to obey the sacred Law, and keep themselves separate from the evil in the world.
10. Another asked Him: Master, at what time will they receive the Anointing? Yahushua answered: When they reach the age of maturity, and manifest in themselves the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit, then let the malak offer prayer and thanksgiving, and seal them with the seal of the Chrism. It is good that all be tried in each degree seven years. Nevertheless let it be to each according to their growth in the love and the wisdom of Yahwah.
Chapter 92
The Order of the Kingdom (Part II)
1. Another asked Him, saying: Master, will you that there be marriages among us as it is among the nations of earth? Yahushua answered, saying: Among some it is the custom that one woman may marry several men, who will say to her: Be our wife, take away our reproach. Among others it is the custom that one man may marry several women, who say to him: Be our husband, take away our reproach. Those who love feel it is a reproach to be unloved.
2. But to you my disciples, I show a better and more perfect way, even this, marriage should be between one man and one woman, who are united by perfect love and sympathy, and that while love and life do last, however in perfect freedom. Let them see to it they have perfect health, and that they truly love each other in all purity, and not for worldly advantage only. Then let them plight their troth one to another before witnesses.
3. When the time is come, let the malak or presbyter offer prayer and thanksgiving, bind them with the scarlet cord, if you will, crown them, lead them three times around the altar, let them eat of one bread, and drink of one cup. Then holding their hands together, let him say to them in this way: Be you two in one, blessed is the sacred union. Let no man put apart you whom Yahwah does join together, so long as life and love do last. If they bear children, let them do so with discretion and prudence according to their ability to maintain them.
4. Nevertheless, to those who would be perfect, and to whom it is given, I say: Let them be as the gods of Yahwah in Heaven, who neither marry nor are given in marriage, nor have children, nor care for tomorrow, but are free from bonds, even as I am. They keep and store up the power of Yahwah within, for their ministry, and for works of healing, even as I do. But the many cannot receive this saying, only those to whom it is given.
5. Another asked Him, saying: Master, in what manner will we offer the sacred Oblation? Yahushua answered, saying: The oblation Yahwah loves in secret is a pure heart. But for a Memorial of worship offer unleavened bread, mingled wine, oil, and incense. When you come together in one place to offer the sacred Oblation, the lamps being lighted, let him who presides, even the malak of the congregation, or the presbyter, having clean hands and a pure heart, take from the things offered, unleavened bread and mingled wine with incense.
6. Let him give thanks over them and bless them, calling upon the Father-Mother in Heaven to send their Spirit that it may come upon and make them to be the Body and Blood, even the Substance and Life of the Eternal, which is ever being broken and shed for all.
7. Let him lift it up toward Heaven and pray for all, even for those who are gone before, for those who are yet alive, and for those who are yet to come. As I taught you, so you pray. After this let him break the bread, put a fragment in the cup, and then bless the sacred union. Let him give to the faithful, saying after this manner: This is the body of the Messiah, even the substance of Yahwah (ever being broken and shed, for you and for all), to eternal life. As you saw me do, so you do also, in the spirit of love. The words I speak to you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Chapter 93
The Order of the Kingdom (Part III)
1. Another spoke, saying: Master, if one commits a sin, can a man remit or retain his sin? Yahushua said: Yahwah forgives all sin to those who repent, but as you sow, so also you must reap. Neither Yahwah nor man can remit the sins of those who repent, nor forsake their sins (nor yet retain the sins of those who forsake them). But if one being in the spirit sees clearly that any repent and forsake their sins, such may truly say to the penitent, your sins are forgiven you. All sin is remitted by repentance and amendment. Those who stop sinning are loosened from it, those who continue sinning are bound to it.
2. Nevertheless the fruits of the sin must continue for a season, for as we sow so must we reap. Yahwah is not mocked. Those who sow to the flesh will reap corruption, those who sow to the spirit will reap life everlasting. If any forsake their sins and confess them, let the presbyter say to such in this way: May Yahwah forgive you your sins, and bring you to everlasting life. All sin against Yahwah is forgiven by Yahwah, and sin against man by man.
3. Another asked Him, saying: If any are sick among us, will we have power to heal even as you do? Yahushua answered: This power comes of perfect chastity, and of faith. Those who are born of Yahwah keep their seed within them.
4. Nevertheless, if any are sick among you, let them send for the presbyters of the congregation that they may anoint them with oil of olive in the Name of Yahwah, the prayer of faith, and the going out of power. The voice of thanksgiving will raise them up, if they are not detained by sin, of this or a former life.
5. Another asked Him, saying: Master, how will the sacred assembly be ordered, who will minister it? Yahushua answered: When my disciples are gathered in my Name let them choose from among themselves true and faithful men and women. They will be ministers and counsellors in temporal things, provide for the necessities of the poor, and those who cannot work. Let these look to the ordering of the goods of the congregation, and assist at the Oblation. Let these be your deacons, with their helps.
6. When these give proof of their ministry, let them choose from them those who have spiritual gifts, whether of guidance, prophecy, preaching, teaching, or healing, that they may edify the flock. Offer the sacred Oblation and minister the mysteries of Yahwah. Let these be your presbyter, and their helps.
7. From these who serve well in their degree let one be chosen who is counted most worthy, and let him preside over all. He will be your malak. Let the malak ordain the deacons, and consecrate the presbyters. Anoint them, lay their hands upon them, and breathe upon them that they may receive Yahwah's Spirit for the office to which they are called. As for the malak let one of the higher ministry anoint and consecrate him, even one of the Supreme Council.
8. As I send Apostles and Prophets, so I also send Evangelists and Pastors (the eight and forty pillars of the tabernacle) that by the ministry of the four I may build up and perfect my congregation. They will sit a sacred congregation in Yerusalem, each with his helper and deacon, and to them will the scattered congregations refer in all matters pertaining to the congregation. As light comes so they will rule, guide, edify, and teach, my sacred congregation. They will receive light from all, and to all they will give more light.
9. Do not forget with your prayers and supplications intercessions and giving of thanks, to offer the incense, as it is written in the last of your prophets, saying: From the rising of the sun to the setting of the same incense will be offered to My Name with a pure oblation in all places, for My Name will be great among the Gentiles.
10. Verily I say to you, Incense is the memorial of the intercession of the saints within the veil, with words that cannot be uttered.
Chapter 94
The Order of the Kingdom (Part IV)
1. Another asked Him, saying: Master, how will you that we bury our dead? Yahushua answered: Seek council of the deacons in this matter, for it concerns the body only. Verily, I say to you, There is no death to those who believe in the life to come. Death, as you deem it, is the door to life. The grave is the gate to resurrection, for those who believe, and obey. Do not mourn, nor weep, for those who leave you, but rather rejoice for their entrance into life.
2. As all creatures come forth from the unseen into this world, so they return to the unseen, and so they will come again till they are purified. Let the bodies of those who depart be committed to the elements, and the Father-Mother, who renews all things, will give the malaks charge over them. Let the presbyter pray that their bodies may rest in peace, and their souls awake to a joyful resurrection.
3. There is a resurrection from the body, and there is a resurrection in the body. There is a raising out of the life of the flesh, and there is a falling into the life of the flesh. Let prayer be made for those who are gone before, for those who are alive, and for those who are yet to come, for all are One family in Yahwah. In Yahwah they live, move, and have their being.
4. The body that you lay in the grave, or that is consumed by fire, is not the body that will be. Those who come receive other bodies, yet their own. As they sow in one life, so they reap in another. Blessed are those who work righteousness in this life, for they receive the crown of life.
5. Another asked Him, saying: Master, under the law Moshe clad the priests with garments of beauty for their ministration in the Temple. Will we also clothe those to whom we commit the ministry of sacred things, as you taught us? Yahushua answered: White linen is the righteousness of the Saints. The time truly comes when Zion will be desolate, and after the time of her affliction is past, she will arise and put on her beautiful garments, as it is written.
6. Seek the kingdom of righteousness first, and all these things will be added to you. Seek simplicity in all things, do not give occasion to vain glory. Seek first to be clothed with charity, the garment of salvation, and the robe of righteousness.
7. What does it profit if you do not have these? You are as the sound of brass, and tinkling of cymbal, if you do not have love. Seek righteousness, love, and peace, and all things of beauty will be added to you.
8. Yet another asked Him, saying: Master, how many of the rich and mighty will enter into life, and join us who are poor and despised. How will we carry on the work of Yahwah in the regeneration of mankind? Yahushua said: This is also a matter for the deacons of the congregation in council with the elders.
9. When my disciples are come together on the Sabbath, at even, or in the morning of the first day of the week, let them each bring an offering of a tithe, or the tithe of a tithe of their increase, as Yahwah does prosper them. Put it in the treasury, for the maintenance of the congregation, the ministry, and the works of it. I say to you, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
10. So all things will be done, decently, and in order. The Spirit who proceeds from the Father-Mother in heaven will set the rest in order. I instructed you in first principles. Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the Age.
Chapter 95
The Ascension
1. He showed Himself alive to His disciples after His resurrection. Yahushua sojourned with them for ninety days, teaching, speaking of the Kingdom, the things pertaining to the Kingdom of Yahwah, and finishing all things He had to do. He led the twelve forth with Miriam Magdalene, Yahusef His father, Miriam His mother, and the other sacred women, as far as Bethany to a mountain called Olivet, where He had appointed them.
2. They saw Him as He stood in the midst of them. They worshipped Him, but some doubted. Yahushua spoke to them, saying: Behold, I chose you from among men, gave you the Law, and the Word of truth.
3. I set you as the light of the world, as a city that cannot be hid. The time comes when darkness will cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. The enemies of truth and righteousness [Romans] will rule in my Name, set up a kingdom of this world, oppress the peoples, cause the enemy to blaspheme, putting for my doctrines the opinions of men, teaching in my Name what I did not teach, and darkening much that I taught with their traditions.
4. Be of good cheer, for the time will also come when the truth they hid will be made known. The light will shine, and the darkness will pass away. The true kingdom will be established which will be in the world, but not of it. The Word of righteousness and love will go forth from the Center, even the sacred city of Mount Zion. The Mount which is in the land of Egypt will be known as an altar of witness to Yahwah.
5. Now I go to my Parent and your Parent, my Father and your Father. But you tarry in Yerusalem, and abide in prayer. After seven days you will receive power from on high, the promise of Yahwah's Spirit will be fulfilled to you. You will go forth from Yerusalem to all the tribes of Yisrayah, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.
6. Having said these things, He lifted up His pure and sacred hands, and blessed them. It came to pass while He blessed them, He was parted from them. A cloud, as the sun in brightness, received Him out of their sight. As He went up some held Him by the feet, and others worshipped Him, falling to the earth on their faces.
7. While they gazed steadfastly into heaven, behold, two stood by them in white apparel, and said: You men of Yisrayah, why do you stand gazing into heaven? This same Yahushua who is taken from you in a cloud, will come again to the earth as you saw Him go into heaven.
8. They returned to Yerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is a Sabbath day's journey from the city. As they returned they missed Miriam Magdalene. They looked for her, but did not find her. Some of the disciples said: The Master took her. They marvelled, and were in great awe.
9. It was midsummer when Yahushua ascended into heaven. He did not yet attain His fiftieth year, for it was needful that seven times seven years should be fulfilled in His life.
10. Yea, that He might be perfected by the suffering of all experiences, and be an example to all, to children, to parents, to the married and the celibates, to youth and those of full age, yea, and to all ages and conditions of mortal life.
Chapter 96
The Pouring Out Of The Spirit
1. The disciples were gathered together in the upper room when they returned from the Mount. They all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, and their number was about one hundred and twenty.
2. In that day James stood up and said: Men and brothers, it is known to you how Yahushua, before He left us, chose Kepha to preside over us, and watch over us in His Name. It must needs be that one of those who were with us, and a witness to His resurrection, be chosen and appointed to take his place.
3. They chose two called Barsabas and Matthias. They prayed, and said: Master, who know the hearts of all men, show which of these two you chose to take part in this Apostleship from which you raised your servant Kepha to preside over us.
4. They gave forth their lots, and the lot fell upon Matthias. The Twelve received him, and he was numbered among the Apostles.
5. Yahchanan and James separated Kepha from their number by laying on of hands, that he might preside over them in the Name of Yahushua, saying: Brother, be as a hewn stone, sixsquared. Even you, Kepha, bear witness to the Truth on every side.
6. Staves were given to the Apostles to guide their steps in the ways of truth, and crowns of glory also. To the Prophets were given burning lamps to show light on the path, and censers with fire. To the Evangelists were given the book of the sacred Law, to recall the people to the first principles. To the Pastors were given the cup and platter to feed and nourish the flock.
7. To none was given anything that was not given to all, for all were one priesthood under the Messiah as their Master Great High Priest in the Temple of Yahwah. To the Deacons were given baskets that they might carry in them the things needful for the sacred worship. The number was about one hundred and twenty, Kepha presiding over them.
8. When the third day was fully come they were all with one accord in the one place. As they prayed there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind. The room in which they were assembled was shaken, and it filled the place.
9. There appeared cloven tongues of flame like fire, and sat upon the head of each of them. They were all filled with Yahwah's Spirit, and began to speak with tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. Kepha stood up and preached the Law of Messiah to the multitude of all nations and tongues who were gathered together by the report of what was seen and heard, each man hearing in his own tongue he was born with.
10. Of those who listened there were gathered to the congregation that day three thousand souls. They received the sacred Law, repented of their sins, were baptized, and continued stedfastly in the Apostles fellowship, worship, the Oblation, and prayers.
11. Those who believed gave up their possessions, had all things in common, and abode together in one place, showing the love and the goodness of Yahwah to their brothers, sisters, and to all creatures, working with their hands for the common good.
12. From these there were called twelve to be Prophets with the Apostles, twelve to be Evangelists, twelve to be Pastors (and their Helps were added to them), and Deacons of the congregation Universal. They numbered one hundred and twenty. Thus was the Tabernacle of David set up, with living men filled with goodness, even as the Master showed them.
13. To the congregation in Yerusalem was given Yaaqobah [James] (Yahushua's brother) for its president and malak, and under him four and twenty priests in a fourfold ministry, with helpers and deacons also. After six days many came together. There were added six thousand men and women who received the sacred Law of Love, and they received the word with gladness.
14. After the Sabbath was past they gathered together on the first day, and were offering the sacred Oblation. They missed Miriam and Yahusef, the parents of Yahushua. They made search, but did not find them.
15. Some of them said: Surely Yahushua took them away, as He did Magdalene. They were filled with awe, and sung praises to Yahwah.
16. The Spirit of Yahwah came upon the Apostles, and the Prophets with them. Remembering what the Master taught them, with one voice they confessed, and praised Yahwah, saying:
17. We believe in One Yahwah, the Infinite, the Secret Fount, the Eternal Parent, of Whom are all things invisible and visible. The ALL in all, through all, around all. The sacred Two, in whom all things consist. Who was, Who is, Who will be.
18. We believe in one Master our Lady, the perfect sacred Messiah: Yahshua of Yahwah, Light of light begotten. Our Master, Father, Spouse, and Son. Our Lady, the Mother, Bride, and Daughter. Three Modes in one Essence undivided, One Biune Trinity. Yahwah may be manifest as the Father, Spouse, and Son of every soul. Every soul may be perfected as the Mother, Bride, and Daughter of Yahwah.
19. All this by ascent of the soul into the spirit, and the descent of the spirit into the soul. Who comes from heaven, and is incarnate of the Virgin ever blessed, in Yahu-Maria and every Messiah of Yahwah. Who is born, teaches the Way of life, suffers under the world rulers, is crucified, is buried, and descends into Hell. Who rises again, ascends into glory, from there giving light and life to all.
20. We believe in the Sevenfold Spirit of Yahwah, the Life-Giver who proceeds from the sacred Two. Who comes upon Yahu-Maria and all who are faithful to the light within. Who dwells in the congregation, the Yisrayah elect of Yahwah. Who comes ever into the world, and lights every soul who seeks. Who gives the Law which judges the living and the dead. Who speaks by the Prophets of every age and clime.
21. We believe in One sacred Universal and Apostolic congregation, the Witness to all truth, the Receiver and Giver of the same. Begotten of the Spirit and Fire of Yahwah, nourished by the waters, seeds, and fruits of earth. Who by the Spirit of Life, her twelve Books and Sacraments, her sacred words and works, knits together the elect in one mystical communion, and atones humanity with Yahwah. Making us partakers of the Divine Life and Substance, betokening the same in sacred Symbols.
22. We look for the coming of the Universal Messiah, and the Kingdom of Heaven wherein dwells righteousness. And the sacred City whose gates are Twelve, wherein are the Temple and Altar of Yahwah. Where proceed three Orders in fourfold ministry, to teach all truth, and offer the daily sacrifice of praise.
23. As in the inner, so in the outer. As in the great, so in the small. As above, so below. As in heaven, so in earth. We believe in the Purification of the soul through many births and experiences. The Resurrection from the dead, and the Life everlasting of the just. The Ages of Ages, and Rest in Yahwah forever. Amein.
24. As the smoke of the incense arose, there was heard the sound as of many bells, and a multitude of the heavenly host praising Yahwah, saying:
25. Glory, honor, praise, and worship be to Yahwah, the Father, Spouse, and Son. One with the Mother, Bride, and Maid. From Whom proceeds the Eternal Spirit. By whom are all created things. From the Ages of Ages. Now, and to the Ages of Ages. Amein. Alleluyah, Alleluyah, Alleluyah.
26. If any man take from, or add, to the words of this Gospel, or hide the light, as under a bushel, which is given by the Spirit through us, the twelve witnesses chosen of Yahwah, for the enlightenment of the world to salvation, let him be Anathema Maranatha, until the coming of Messiah Yahu-Maria, our Savior, with all the sacred Saints.
27. To those who believe, these things are true. For those who do not believe, they are as an idle tale. To those with perceiving minds and hearts, regarding the spirit rather than the letter which kills, they are spiritual verities.
28. The things written are true, not because they are written, but rather they are written because they are true. These are written that you may believe with your hearts, and proclaim with your mouths to the salvation of many. Amein.
Here ends the sacred Gospel of the Perfect Life of Yahu-Maria, the Messiah, the Son of David after the Flesh, the Son of Yahwah after the Spirit. Glory be to Yahwah by whose power and help it was written.
