Second Epistle of Kepha
The Second Epistle General of Simon Kepha
[please note that Peter means: father. Kepha means: a small rock. They are not the same.]
Chapter 1
1 Simon Kepha [falsely known as: Peter], a servant and apostle of Yahushua the Messiah [falsely known as: Jesus Christ], to those who have obtained a like precious faith with us in the righteousness of Yahwah [YHWH] and the Savior Yahushua the Messiah.
2 Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of Yahwah and of Yahushua our Master.
3 His divine power grants to us all things that pertain unto life and righteousness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and virtue.
4 He grants His precious and exceeding great promises to us, that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature. Escape from the corruption that is in the world of lust.
5 Yea, and for this very reason adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply virtue, in your virtue knowledge,
6 in your knowledge self-control, in your self-control patience, in your patience righteousness,
7 in your righteousness brotherly kindness, and in your brotherly kindness love.
8 For if these things are your's and abound, they make you to not be idle nor unfruitful unto the knowledge of our Master Yahushua the Messiah.
9 He who lacks these things is blind, seeing only what is near, forgetting the cleansing from his old sins.
10 Therefore, brothers, give the more diligence to make your calling and election sure. If you do these things, you will never stumble.
11 Then will be richly supplied to you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Master and Savior Yahushua the Messiah.
12 I am always ready to put you in remembrance of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth which is with you.
13 I think it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle [body], to stir you up by putting you in remembrance.
14 I know that the putting off of my tabernacle comes swiftly, even as our Master Yahushua the Messiah signified unto me.
15 Yea, I give diligence that at every time after my decease you may be able to call these things to remembrance.
16 We did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our King Yahushua the Messiah, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
17 He received honor and glory from Yahwah the Father, when there was borne such a voice to Him by the Majestic Glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18 This voice we ourselves heard borne out of heaven, when we were with Him in the holy mount.
19 We have the word of prophecy made more sure. You do well that you take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts.
20 Know this first, no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation.
21 No prophecy ever came by the will of man, but men spoke from Yahwah, being moved by the Spirit.
1 There arose false prophets among the people, as among you also there are false teachers. They secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.
2 Many follow their lascivious doings, by reason of whom the way of the truth is spoken evil of.
3 In covetousness they make merchandise of you with feigned words, whose sentence now from of old does not linger, and their destruction does not slumber.
4 Yahwah did not spare gods when they sinned, but cast them down to tartaros, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.
5 He did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when He brought a flood upon the world of the unrighteous.
6 Turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those who live unrighteously.
7 He delivered righteous Lot, sore distressed by the lascivious life of the wicked.
8 Dwelling among them, seeing and hearing, that righteous man vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their lawless deeds.
9 Yahwah knows how to deliver the righteous out of temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment unto the day of judgment,
10 but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, self-willed, they do not tremble to rail at dignities.
11 Even gods, though greater in might and power, do not bring a railing judgment against them before Yahwah.
12 But these, as creatures without reason, born mere animals to be taken and destroyed, railing in matters of which they are ignorant, will in their destroying surely be destroyed,
13 suffering wrong as the hire of wrong-doing; men who count it pleasure to revel in the day-time, spots and blemishes, revelling in their deceivings while they feast with you;
14 having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; enticing unstedfast souls; having a heart exercised in covetousness; children of cursing;
15 forgetting the right way, they went astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the hire of wrong-doing;
16 he was rebuked for his own transgression, a dumb ass spoke with man's voice and stayed the madness of the prophet.
17 These are springs without water, and mists driven by a storm, for whom the blackness of darkness is reserved.
18 Uttering great swelling words of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from those who live in error.
19 They promise liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption. Of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he also brought into bondage.
20 For if they escape the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the King and Savior Yahushua the Messiah, yet they are again entangled and overcome by sin, the last state is become worse with them than the first.
21 It were better for them to not have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the sacred commandment delivered to them.
22 It happens to them according to the true proverb: The dog turns to his own vomit again, and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.
1 Beloved, this is now the second epistle that I write to you. In both of them I stir up your sincere mind by putting you in remembrance,
2 that you should remember the words which were spoken before by the prophets, and the commandments of the Master and Savior through your apostles.
3 Know this first, in the last days mockers will come with mockery, walking after their own lusts,
4 and saying: Where is the promise of His coming? From the day the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth compacted out of water and amidst water, by the Word of Yahwah.
6 The world that was then perished, being overflowed with water.
7 The heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same Word are stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of unrighteous men.
8 Do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with Yahwah as a thousand years, and a thousand years [are the same] as one day [Psalm 90:4, Jubilees 4:30].
9 Yahwah is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering to you-ward; not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 The day of Yahwah will come as a thief. The heavens will pass away with a great noise, the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
11 Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in all living and righteousness,
12 looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of Yahwah (by reason of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat)?
13 But we look for new heavens and a new earth, according to His promise, where righteousness dwells.
14 So beloved, seeing that you look for these things, give diligence that you may be found in peace, without spot and blameless in His sight.
15 Account that the longsuffering of our Master is salvation.
17 Beloved, knowing these things beforehand, beware, unless being carried away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own stedfastness.
18 Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Master and Savior Yahushua Messiah. To Him is the glory both now and forever. Amein.
